    Administration Screens
The Full Mailb ox Answer Mod e feature provid es the c aller
with alternative op tions for c omp leting a c all when the rec ip i-
ent’s mailb ox is full. If the rec ip ient has a p ersonal g reeting
ac tivated , the c aller hears the g reeting followed b y
announc ements stating that a message c annot b e left and
listing other op tions. If the rec ip ient is using the system
g reeting , the c aller hears only the announc ements. If the
Multiling ual feature is ac tive and Call Answer Lang uag e
Choic e is y (yes) for the sub sc rib er, the c aller hears the
g reeting in the sub sc rib er’s p rimary announc ement set.
The c aller rec eives the normal Call Answer op tions: Transfer,
Wait, Help , Exit, and Operator (or c overing extension). If the
c aller d oesn’t resp ond within an ad ministered time p eriod ,
the system forward s the c all to (1) the p ersonal c overing
extension, if there is one, or (2) the system c overing exten-
sion, if there is one. If neither extension is availab le, the sys-
tem p lays a messag e warning the c aller to resp ond or be
d isc onnec ted. If there is no further resp onse, the system
    end s the c all.
    Wh o h a s i t :The feature is availab le to all
sub sc rib ers with the Call Answer
    feature.
Who c ontrols it:The system administrator assig ns
c overing extensions for the entire
    system or for individ ual
sub scrib ers. Sub scrib ers control
whether or not the c aller first
    hears a p ersonal g reeting before
g etting the list of op tions.
    Wh o c a n a c c e s s it :Anyone c an ac c ess the feature b y
d ialing an extension that has a full
    mailb ox.
nBefore leaving for an extend ed
p eriod, rec ip ients should set up a
    c overing extension and inform
c allers of it via the p ersonal g reet-
    ing .
nIf the full mailb ox answer is trig -
g ered exc essively, system ad min-
istrators should resp ond b y
    enlarg ing mailb oxes. System
    administrators should continually
tailor mailb ox sp ac e to sub sc rib -
ers as nec essary, using d ata
ac q uired from ADAP and the

This feature is p rimarily of interest to sales and servic e org anizations that rec eive
many outsid e c alls. It is more c ord ial than other systems in that the c all is

of a salesp erson on vac ation. When the salesp erson’s mailb ox is filled , c lients

extension, the following req uirements must b e met:
