    Triad 3System
    Configuration
    This chapter describes the basic and optional equipment to be used
    with theTr i ad 3System. System spec ification tables have also been
    provided. 
    						
    							Triad 3 Gen eral Description 11 -3
    Tr iad 3Ge ner al D escr ip tion
    TheTr iad 3System is a fully Digital Key Telephone System, designed to
    meet the telecommunication needs of medium-sized business offices.
    The system incorporates state of the art digital technology for co mmand
    process ing and voice s witching, using a Puls e C ode Modula tion/Time
    Division Multiplexing (PCM/TDM) distributed switching matrix. The
    system supportsMU Law Encodingbase d on t he r e quir em ent s of l oc al
    re gul at io ns . T heTri ad 3system achieves a high level of flexibility by:
    †Employing a Universal Card Slot architecture with a small Basic, Basic
    and Expa nsion cab inet to house plug-in Printed Circuit Boards.
    †Pr o vi din g su p po r t fo r di ffe re nt ty pes o f ins tr u me nta ti o n.
    †Utilizing the same comm on control and pe riphe ra l ca rds .

    TheTr iad 3s ystem can accommoda te a variety of hardware as follows :

    †Digital Line cards and T1IB/PRIB boards can be installed from Slot 0 to
    Sl ot 8 of t he Basi c KS U.

    System Control and Flexibility

    vast array of features and capabilities including PC Database
