Attendant FeaturesDSSi72 DSSl72(CPC-S and CPC-M) DescriptionThe DSS/72 is a 72-key console that can be attached to the attendant phone The 72 keys of the DSS can be programmed as Direct Station Select (DSS) keys for internal lines In addition to providing direct station selection, the DSS keys also provide busy lamp fields to assist the attendant in monitoring the status of extensions The attendant can perform a simplified call transfer by pressing a DSS key while connected to an outside line The outside line is placed on hold and the extension is dialed automatically When the attendant is placed in the programming mode, the DSS can be used for inputting text names Figure 2-l shows which keys are pressed for text input.
