6Application Functions 6-90 bizhub 500/420/360 (Phase 3)Erasing Black Marks along Center Fold (Center Erase) This function erases black marks along the center fold of printed sheets which tend to be created when using the original glass to scan thick original such as a book. Use this function also for the original already having black marks along the center fold. To copy using Center Erase 0Available range for the erasure amount is 0.1 mm ~ 99.0 mm in 0.1 mm increments. 0Available to be used together with Erase. When using Non-Image Area Erase in combination, scan the original from the original glass. 1Position the original. 2Enter the desired print quantity from the control panel keypad. 3Touch [Application] tab on the Basic Screen. The Center Erase Screen will be displayed. 5Specify the erasure amount. – Use [+] and [–], or control panel keypad to enter the desired erasure amount. To copy using Non-Image Area Erase 0Scan the original from original glass. In this case, check this function using the original with white background. This function may also perform incorrectly if the lighting in the work place is directly over the original glass. 6Application Functions 6-96 bizhub 500/420/360 (Phase 3) 6.14 Adjusting Position of Copy Image (Image Adjustment) Use this function to make a copy adjusting the position of printed image. The original size can be either detected automatically or specified manually. -Centering The original image will be centered on copy paper. -No Rotate For example, when size A4 copy paper is loaded in lengthwise (w) orientation and the machine detects that the size A4 original is placed portrait (v), the Rotation operates to make the same size copy as if using size A4 copy paper loaded in crosswise (v) orientation by rotating the original image 90°. Also, the large original (such as A3 or B 4 ) t o b e p o s i t i o n e d o n l y l a n d s c a p e (w) can be copied onto copy paper loaded in crosswise (v) orientation (such as A4 or B5) with Auto Zoom activated to reduce the image size. Specify [No Rotate] to disable this function. Function overview The following two modes are provided for the Image Adjustment function. These are compatible with each other.
