    Add Circuit Packs
    1. Determine port assig nment of c irc uit p ac ks to be ad d ed .
    2. Install the ap p rop riate c irc uit pac ks in assigned  c ab inet slot (as req uired ). 
    For example:
    The TN794 Pac ket Interfac e c irc uit p ac k and  the TN556 or TN2198 ISDN 
    BRI c irc uit p ac k are required . The TN794 Pac ket Interfac e c irc uit p ac k 
    should  b e add ed  first. If an EPN is p resent, a TN570/B/C Exp ansion 
    Interfac e c irc uit p ac k is req uired .
    Install Cables
    1. Install c ab les from c ab inet to the MDF as req uired .
    NOTE:
    BRI req uires a 12-p ort b ac kp lane c ab le terminator (b reakout 
    c onnec tor). Connec t this terminator to the 25-p air c ab le. This is 
    d ifferent from the 8-p ort c onnec tor used  for DCP.
    Enter Added Translations
    1. Ad minister the req uired  translation d ata using the forms listed und er 
    7500D voic e terminals and  8500 voic e terminals in DEFINITY Enterp rise 
    Communic ations Server Release 8 Ad ministrator’s Guid e.
    Resolve Alarms
    1. Examine the alarm log . Resolve any alarms using  DEFINITY Enterp rise 
    Communic ations Server Release 8 Maintenanc e for R8si. 
    Save Translations
    1. If the system is hig h or c ritic al reliab ility, typ e status system 1
     and press 
    En t e r  to verify that the system is in the “ ac tive/stand b y”  mode.
    2. Type save translation
     and press 
    En te r. This instruc ts the system to take all 
    translation information in memory and  write it to the translation c ard s.3 A 07 01

    CAMA/E911 Installation
    Configuration
    The CAMA/E911 feature will only work on DEFINITY ECS if TN429C CO circuit 
    packs (or later suffix) is used.
    Por t Networks (PNs) that include TN429C circuit packs used to interface to CAMA 
    trunks may require some CPTR resources to be either TN744D V2 or TN2182B 
    circuit packs, since TTR/CPTR or General Purpose Tone Receiver (GPTR) 
    resources are selected from the pool available in the PN when needed.

     denotes which of these circuit packs are compatible and which are not 
    affected.
