The following list is the information that can be c onfirmed by LCD screen. But actually, more information can be confirmed by the setting mode (08 ). See after-mentioned “5)-Display in the setting mode (08)” for details. : With data : Without data Table 2-201 Type of calculated data - Setting related with the pixel counter function Standard paper size setting The standard paper size (A4 or LT) to convert it in to the pixel count is selected (08-1500). Pixel counter display setting Whether or not to display the pixel counter on the LCD screen is selected (08-1504). Display reference setting The reference when displaying the pixel counter on the LCD screen (toner cartridge reference or service technician reference) is selected (08-1505) . Determination counter of toner empty This is the counter to determine the replacement of new toner cartridge after the toner empty is detected. After the toner empty is detected by the auto-toner sensor, this counter checks if toner empty is not detected one more time while the specified numb er of pixel count or output pages is counted. Pixel counter clearing There are 3 types for the pixel count clear as follo ws: 08-1501: All information related to the pixel count is cleared. 08-1502: All information related to the service tec hnician reference pixel count is cleared. 08-1503: All information related to the toner cartr idge reference pixel count is cleared. e-STUDIO200L/202L/230/232/280/282 ERROR CODE AND SELF-DIAGNOSTIC MODE June 2004 © TOSHIBA TEC 2 - 246 4) Relation between pixel count and toner consumptio n The user’s printing out the image with large coverag e or high density may cause the large value of pixel count. And the setting that toner consumption becomes high in the original mode or density setting may cause it as well. In this case, the replacement cycle of toner cartri dge is faster than the standard number of output pages. Therefore, this trend needs to be grasped fo r the service. The relation between pixel count and number of outp ut pages per cartridge is as follows: Fig. 2-11 Pixel count and number of output pages per cartridge 6% 12%60% X X/2 X/10 Standard number of output pages Number of output pages per cartridge (page) Pixel count (%) 05/05
