Shipping, Receiving and Installation Warranty Notes 5.4 If any of the warranty seals on any Mite1 DPABX or SUPERSET Telephone products are broken, Mite1 reserves the right to refuse to service the equipment or to void any remaining warranty on the equipment. If any Mite1 equipment has been modified so that it is not within the manufacturer’s specifications (including, but not limited to, the installation of any non-mite1 parts, components, or replacement cards), Mite1 reserves the right to: refuse to service the equipment; void any remaining warranty; remove and replace any non-Mite1 parts found in the equipment; and to make those modifications that are necessary to return the equipment to original manufacturer’s specifications. Install the System Ground Wire. - l Run a 6 AWG system ground wire from an ap- proved ground to the SX-50 system. DO NOT connect to system yet. l Refer to Appendix B for definition of approved ground. . 2. Verify the Ground Connection. l Ensure SX-50 power switch is OFF. l Plug the ac Line Cord into the power supply and the building ac receptacle. l Measure ac voltage between the SX-50 ground lug and approved ground. If it is more than 1 volt, locate another approved ground and try again. If help is needed, consult your engineering support group. ‘* Measure the resistance between SX-50 ground lug and approved ground; it should be less than 5 ohms. If necessary, take corrective action to reduce the resistance. If help is need- ed, consult your engineering support group. 3. Ground the System. Refer to Figure 5-6, SX-50 System l Connect the System Ground Wire (6 AWG) to Grounding. the Power Supply CHASSIS GND lug. 4. Ground the Card Frame and the EDG bar. l Connect a 12 AWG ground wire (supplied) to the screw on the EDG bar. l Carefully remove and retain the nut and lock- washer from the CHASSIS GND stud. Leave the spacer in place. l Place the card frame ground wire terminal on the CHASSIS GND stud. l Place the EDG bar ground wire terminal on the CHASSIS GND stud. l Secure the two ground wires on the CHASSIS GND stud with the lock washer and hex nut.
