1-2General Description Chapter 1 - Introduction General Description Allows Flexibility and Software Control TheXTSDigital Key Telephone System is a fully digital hybrid Key Telephone System, designed to meet the telecommunication needs of medium or large sized business offices. The system has been designed to allow a high level of software control over the systems hardware. 1-4General Description Chapter 1 - Introduction Digital Keyset Telephones EachXTSSystem provides all the keys, indicators, and features described. Handset and Speakerare located at the left side of the front panel. A handset is provided to allow confidential conversation when desired. Lifting the handset from its cradle (going off-hook) disengages the station’s built-in speaker. The speaker is located directly below the center portion of the handset. The station may be operated with the handset on-hook. When this occurs, audio is transmitted to the station user through the station’s speaker. Flexible Buttonsprovide access to idle outside lines, DSS/BLF for internal stations, access speed dial numbers and activate features. These buttons can be programmed by the individual station user. The default flexible feature buttons are described as follows: »CALL BACK button lets you initiate a call back request to another busy station. As soon as that station becomes idle, the station that left the call back request is automatically signaled. A flexible button must be assigned to use this feature. »PICK-UP button lets you pick up a tone ringing intercom call, transferred, incoming, or recalling outside call to a specific unattended station, by group or directed call pick-up. »DND (DO NOT DISTURB) button lets the user place their telephone into Do Not Disturb mode to eliminate incoming outside line ringing, intercom calls, transfers and paging announcements. The station in DND can use the telephone to make normal outgoing calls. On Attendant stations, this button becomes the system Night Mode button. A flexible button must be assigned to use this feature. »LINE QUEUE button lets you queue to an outside line when all lines in a group are busy. Your station is placed in queue, awaiting a line in the same group to become available. Outside Callsare announced by a tone signal repeated every 3.2 seconds. The corresponding outside line indicator flashes slowly. Intercom Callscan be tone ringing or voice announced. If voice announced, the receiving station receives three tone bursts prior to the announcement. If a tone ringing call, the receiving station hears a tone ring every 2.4 seconds. Enhanced 8-Button Speakerphone The Enhanced 8-button Digital Telephone is compact in size with many features normally found only in larger telephone. The 8 flexible, dual-color LEDs can be assigned as DSS,CO/PBX/Centrex or feature/function buttons. When used as DSS buttons, station status can be seen in a single glance. When used as CO/PBX/ Centrex buttons, line status is easily monitored. The 4 fixed features include oversized on/off and hold buttons and fixed volume buttons. The 4 flexible buttons can be assigned as a CO/PBX line, DSS button, Speed Dial or Feature button. To help manage calls more efficiently, this integrated speakerphone has call announce with hands-free intercom and a hot keypad that allows dialing while the phone is on-hook.
General Description1-5 Chapter 1 - Introduction Executive 12-Button Speakerphone The Executive 12-button Digital Telephone has 12 flexible buttons with dual color LEDs that can be assigned as DSS, CO/PBX/Centrex or feature/function buttons. Each flexible button can be assigned as a CO/PBX line, DSS button, Speed Dial or Feature button. As DSS buttons, station status can be seen in a single glance. When used as CO/PBX/Centrex buttons, line status is easily monitored. The telephone also features 11 fixed feature buttons including on/off, mute and hold buttons, speed dial, message wait, forward and a volume control bar. Executive 24-Button Speakerphone The Executive 24-button Digital Telephone has 24 flexible, dual color LEDs that can be customized for each application. When the flexible button are used as DSS buttons, station status can be seen in a single glance. When they are used as CO/PBX/Centrex buttons, line status is easily monitored. This integrated speakerphone offers call announce with hands-free intercom and a hot keypad that allows dialing while the phone is on-hook. Elite 30-Button Large Screen Telephone The Elite 30-Button Large Screen Display telephone provides one-touch access to an interactive menu of commonly used features such as DND, last number redial, voice mail, speed dial, and call park. The large display telephone has 11 fixed-feature buttons and 30 flexible buttons that can be assigned as CO/PBX/Centrex lines, Station DSS, or feature/ function buttons. This telephone also features an integrated speakerphone, call announce with handsfree intercom, a volume control bar, a 7-line by 16-character LCD with 10 softkeys, and long life LEDs. Additional features include: on-screen name directory, a monthly calendar display, voice mail feature displays, and 11 message status options.
