    Performance Data to be Collected
This sec tion d efines the data that is c ollec ted .
    nPe g s
The peg counts have a type
PEG and have a sing le d ata value. On an
    I
NTUITY or DEFINITY AUDIX System, peg counts are created and saved on
an hourly b asis, then reset for the next hour. When an R1 AUDIX System is
reb ooted , the system initializes the p eg values to zero and c ontinuously
inc rements the p eg values. To d etermine the number of oc c urrenc es of a
p artic ular p eg d uring an interval of time on an R1 AUDIX System, the p eg
c ount must b e read at the b eg inning and at the end of the interval.
Each peg count is described below with the data label in parentheses:
    — Guest Connec tions (PF_GUEST_CONNECT_PEG) is the numb er of
suc c essful g uest log ins.
    — Leave Word Calling Connec tions (PF_LWC_CONNECT_PEG) is the
numb er of leave word c alling messag es c reated .
    — Call Transfer Out of AUDIX (PF_TRANSFER_PEG) is the number of
transfers out of the DEFINITY AUDIX or R1 AUDIX Systems
    performed using the
    *T, *0, or 10 to reply to a messag e.
    — Entry of *H (PF_HELP_PEG) is the numb er of times
    *H is used.
    — Entry of *W (PF_WAIT_PEG) is the numb er of times
    *W (wait) is
    used .

    — Entry Not Und erstood (PF_INVCOM_PEG) is the numb er of times
    the
Invalid Entry announc ement (on the DEFINITY AUDIX System)
    or the
Entry Not Understood announc ement (on the R1 AUDIX

    nStatistic s and Histograms
There are two typ es of statistic s and two typ es of histograms inc luded in
the p erformanc e d ata. The statistic s typ es for DEFINITY AUDIX are

    PUDSTAT
     and

    .
nINTUITY also uses PUDSTAT and PTSTAT, b ut both are simp ly
    rep resented by STAT.
nThe d ata for b oth of these typ es is id entic al and is in the following
