AUDIX Administration and Data Acquisition Package 585-302-502 Issue 14 May 1999 Command Line Database Retrieval Commands 12-7 getadj 12 getadj Get ad junc t mac hine translation d ata Syntax getadj -m machine -r release [-v ] [-w ] [-V ] [> ofile] Description This c ommand retrieves the R1 AUDIX (R1V5 and b eyond ) system : translation : mac hine : ad junc t sc reen d ata for the mac hine sp ec ified in the c ommand op tions. No inp ut is required . Retrieved data is written to stand ard outp ut. Errors An error message appears on the screen if you use this command with the I NTUITY or DEFINITY AUDIX Systems, or the R1 AUDIX System p rior to R1V5. An error message also appears if you enter an invalid mac hine name. -m Mac hine flag ; must b e followed b y machine. mac hine Retrieves d ata for the sp ec ified mac hine. If the mac hine name is more than one word (suc h as new york ), the name must b e enc losed in q uotation marks. -r Release flag ; must b e followed b y release. release Retrieves d ata for the sp ec ified release of the R1 AUDIX System software (R1V5 and beyond). The default is D-r3.2. -v Writes transfer statistic s to the sc reen at the end of the transfer. Pre ss i n g v while the c ommand is exec uting send s the upd ated transfer status to the sc reen. -w Writes a one-line summary of the exit status of this c ommand into the file, form_req.rc. -V Writes the ADAP version numb er for this c ommand and exits without transferring any sc reens data. > ofileSp ec ifies the name of the file to whic h data is written. Example The following c ommand retrieves the Disp lay System-Parameters Ac tivity-Log d ata, writes a summary of the transfer statistic s to the sc reen, and writes outp ut to a file named ac tivity. getalogp -v > activity The following data is written to the file: y,n,10000 This examp le shows one line of output. Retrieved data is written to stand ard outp ut. -f Fragment number flag; must be followed by the fragment number. frag ment numb er Retrieves d ata for the sp ec ified fragment numb er. Frag ment numb ers are displayed in Ap p end ix E of AUDIX Ad ministration, 585-305-501. -n Frag ment numb er flag ; must b e followed b y nnnn. nnnn Retrieves the numb er ( nnnn) of fragment rec ord s that you spec ify. For examp le, if you enter 5 for nnnn and you have req uested -f 86 , frag ment information for frag ments 86 through 90 will b e displayed. -r Ind ic ates that the arg ument following is the name of the release. This arg ument must b e followed b y release. release Retrieves d ata for the sp ec ified release of the R1 AUDIX (R1V3 and b eyond ) System software.
