    Description 
    This c ommand  retrieves the INTUITY AUDIX, DEFINITY AUDIX, or the R1 AUDIX 
    (R1V5 and  b eyond ) System p erformanc e d ata. 
    Retrieved  d ata is written to stand ard  outp ut. 
    -DDate flag ; must b e followed  b y mmddyy. This flag is valid  only for 
    the I
    NTUITY and  DEFINITY AUDIX Systems. It is req uired  b y INTUITY 
    and  DEFINITY AUDIX Systems. 
    mmdd yy Retrieves d ata for the month d ay and  year ind ic ated  by 
    mmddyy. 
    -tHour flag ; must b e followed  b y hh. Valid  only for the INTUITY and 
    DEFINITY AUDIX Systems. 
    hh Retrieves data starting  on the hour sp ec ified  b y 
    hh on the d ate you 
    sp ecified  b y -D 
    mmddyy. The d efault is 0. 
    -nHours of d ata flag ; must b e followed  b y nn. This flag  is valid  only 
    for the I
    NTUITY and  DEFINITY AUDIX Systems. 
    nn Retrieves the number of hours of d ata sp ec ified  b y 
    nn starting  on 
    the hour sp ec ified  b y -h

    -dInd ic ates that only DBP d ata is read . This flag  is valid only for R1 
    AUDIX Systems. 
    -fI n d ic a t e s  t h a t  o n ly  FP/ VSP d a t a  i s r e a d .  Th is  f la g  is  v a l id  o n ly  f o r  
    R1 AUDIX Systems. 
    -rRelease flag ; must b e followed  b y release. 
    release Retrieves d ata for the sp ec ified  release of the I
    NTUITY AUDIX, 
    DEFINITY AUDIX, or R1 AUDIX (R1V5 and  beyond ) System 
    software. The d efault for the DEFINITY AUDIX System is D-r3.2. 
    The d efault for the I
    NTUITY AUDIX System is I-r5.0. 
    -N
    The -N
     op tion is for R1 AUDIX systems only and  allows the getperf
     
    c ommand  to retrieve the network p erformanc e d ata. The -N
     option 
    must follow the -r

    NOTE:
    During  a system reb oot, p erformanc e d ata is reset. 
    NOTE:
    There is some system p erformanc e imp ac t on the R1 AUDIX System 
    if the d ata is retrieved  d uring  b usy hours. It may req uire up  to 5 
    minutes to retrieve all of the d ata. During  the retrieval of d ata, the FP 
    oc c up anc y is 10% to 15% hig her than without the d ata retrieval. 
    NOTE:
    The following  note ap p lies only to the R1 AUDIX System: 
    I n  o rd e r  t o  re t r i e v e  FP a n d  VSP p e r f o r m a n c e  st a t i st i c s ,  t h e  R1  
    AU D I X Sys t e m  c a b in e t  
    must be eq uip p ed  with a TN591 Vintag e 1 
    CPU. The b oard  should  resid e in slot #9 for AUDIX-Small, slot #9 of 
    lower and up p er c arriers for AUDIX-Tower, and  slot #3 and  #12 for 
    AUDIX-Larg e. If the b oard  is not p resent, a message ap p ears on 
    the sc reen indicating the required board is not present. 
    Errors 
    An error message ap p ears on the sc reen and  the c ommand  ab orts if you try to 
    use the getperf
     c ommand with a release of the R1 AUDIX System p rior to R1V5. -v
    Writes transfer statistic s to the sc reen at the end  of the transfer. 
    Pressing  
    v while the c ommand  is exec uting  send s the up d ated  
    transfer status to the sc reen. 
    -w
    Writes a one-line summary of the exit status of this c ommand  into 
    the file, getperf.rc.
     
    -V
    Writes the ADAP version numb er for this c ommand  and exits 
    without transferring  any sc reens d ata. 
    >
     ofileSp ec ifies the name of the file to whic h d ata is written. The filename 
    must b e p rec ed ed  b y the symb ol > . If no output file is sp ec ified, 
    d ata is written to the sc reen.

    In the R1 AUDIX System, p erformanc e p eg s and  statistic s are kep t from b oot 
    time: CPU oc c up anc y is kep t for the p revious 24 hours. In the 
    INTUITY and  
    DEFINITY AUDIX Systems
    , hourly p erformanc e d ata is kep t for the p revious 8 
    days. 
    Example 
    The following c ommand retrieves the DEFINITY AUDIX Systems’ p erformanc e 
    d ata for May 5, 1995, and  writes outp ut to a file named  p erfd ata.
