Other Printing Options LOGIQ 5 Basic User Manual 15-31 Direction 2300002-100 Rev. 2 Other Printing Options Connecting to a Standard Computer Printer You can now connect a standard computer printer, via the USB connection (Service). We currently support the HP970 CXI or HP990 CXI standard computer printers. NOTE: You can connect a different printer if you have the driver for it on a CD-ROM (*.inf file). 1. Connect the printer to the USB port at the back of the system (in the Service port). 2. Install the driver, if necessary. Please refer to the Basic Service Manual for more information. 3. Set the printer as the default printer.

Assign one of the print keys (P1-P4) to the standard printer via Utility --> Connectivity --> Buttons --> Select Destinations and select (Standard Print @ My Computer). This allows you to print the screen by pressing the print screen key. The system automatically determines the portion of the screen to print based upon what is currently displayed. Figure 15-30. Any page displayed on the monitor can be printed. 6. Press the P1-4 key that you assigned in Step 2 above. NOTE: You can also set a preset to override the automatic area print and force the entire screen to print by pressing Utility -> System --> Setup and setting the Standard Printer to Print Full Screen. NOTE: Worksheets and Graphs are printed in reverse video for easier readibility. You can also set a preset to override this presentation by pressing Utility --> System --> Setup and setting the Standard Printer to Allow Reverse Video. External Printers You can also connect an external printer through the External Printer 1/2 remote expose connections on the back of the system. To use a remote printer, assign a print key (P1-P4) via Utility --> Connectivity --> Buttons --> Select Destinations and select External Printer 1/2 @ My Computer.
Recording Images 15-34 LOGIQ 5 Basic User Manual Direction 2300002-100 Rev. 2 Transferring Patient Data to a PC Transferring OB/GYN Patient Data to a PC The LOGIQ 5 now supports the transfer of OB, GYN and Vascular patient data to a PC. NOTE: The LOGIQ 5 currently supports Viewpoint patient data communications software for the PC. Connecting the LOGIQ 5 to the PC You need to connect a RS232C Converter and RS232C Cross Cable to the USB port to connect a serial peripheral device to the system. Figure 15-31. A beep on the peripheral device indicates a successful transfer. If there is a problem with the connection or transfer, the system displays an error message. NOTE: If you currently do a heart rate measurement without specifying a vessel, as in the case of a fetal heart, the measurement IS NOT automatically transferred to the PC. You need to enter this measurement manually on the PC. NOTE: Deleted measurements from the worksheet are still sent to the off-line reporting PC.

Trackball to the VCR pulldown menu, place the pointer on the down arrow and press Set, then move the Trackball to select the appropriate VCR. 5. Press Save, then press Exit. 6. Turn off the LOGIQ 5, then turn it back on. CAUTIONBe sure to connect the converter and cable before booting up the system. If not, the LOGIQ 5 does not recognize the peripheral device.
