Annotating an Image LOGIQ 5 Basic User Manual 6-11 Direction 2300002-100 Rev. 2 Adding Comments to an Image Annotation Retention Annotations from the B-Mode images are retained and carried over when switching to multi-image format or duplex mode. The position of the comments is adjusted so that it is at the same relative position with respect to the display window in the new format as it was in the single image format. NOTE: Annotations may not be retained when the image is switched to M-Mode image format depending on the preset. Arrows and Pointers Arrows and pointers can be used by activating the F2 (Arrow) key on the keyboard. When the pointer comes up, it is a GREEN color, indicating it is active and can be moved. • Move the pointer using the Trackball to any place on the screen. The pointer head direction can be controlled by how the trackball is moved. • To readjust the length and thickness of the pointer, use the Arrow Resize rotary control. The default for the pointer size can be preset. • Press Set to fix the place of the pointer and direction of the pointer head. The GREEN color turns to YELLOW (or the default color if changed). • To delete all arrow marks, Press the Clear key right after pressing the F2 (Arrow) key. NOTE: This action clears the arrows only, not the comments on the screen. To erase all annotations as well as arrows, press the Clear key right after the Comment key.
Scanning/Display Functions 6-12 LOGIQ 5 Basic User Manual Direction 2300002-100 Rev. 2 Text Overlays There are 2 layers of the text in annotations, which can be selected by toggling the F8 (Text1/Text2) key on the keyboard. Text1 is the default choice. By using this function, users can perform a HIDE TEXT/SHOW TEXT, allowing the users to save or printing an image without clearing the typed text. Annotating an image using the library Press Comment and move the annotation cursor location using the Trackball. Select the desired library fields from the Touch Panel. Annotation Library on Touch PanelTo reduce the amount of time spent annotating an image, store frequently-used annotations in the Annotation Library. As many as 6 libraries are available per study. One of the selected libraries is designated as the default and its entries shall be displayed on the Touch Panel when the annotation mode is entered for that study. Each Touch Panel key can also be configured to hold a small list of up to 3 annotations. The first word in the list is displayed on the Touch Panel and the others can be accessed by toggling the key or pop-up menu. To show the presence of a small list stored under a particular key, a small indicator (>) is placed on the key. To program your system with specific annotations, See ‘Annotations Libraries Presets’ for more information.
