DEFINITY Enterprise Communication Server Release 8.2 Reports Guide 555-233-505 Issue 1 April 2000 How to Enter Commands and Display and Print Reports 1-4 Commands and the Command Line Format 1 Monitor Commands Use the monitor c ommand to d isp lay real-time status reports. Whenever a status rep ort is d isp layed on the manag ement terminal, it is automatic ally up d ated every thirty second s. Press CANCEL to ab ort the monitor c ommand . NOTE: When c anc eling out of some monitor c ommand s, the manag ement terminal interfac e is automatic ally log g ed off. This is not ad ministrab le. If the status rep ort c onsists of more than one p ag e, use NEXT PAGE to d isp lay any subsequent pages and PREV PA G E to display previous pages. If you enter the monitor c ommand inc orrec tly, or if the q ualifier is not app lic ab le or c annot b e measured , a d esc rip tive error messag e ap p ears on the messag e line. The messag e line is the b ottom line on the sc reen. Usually the error messag es p rovid e enoug h detail to d etermine the p rob lem. However, you may p ress HELP when need ed . DEFINITY Enterprise Communication Server Release 8.2 Reports Guide 555-233-505 Issue 1 April 2000 How to Enter Commands and Display and Print Reports 1-5 Displaying Reports 1 Change Commands Use the change c ommand to alter the g roup of p arameters b eing measured . Clear Commands Use the clear c ommand to remove the measurement d ata g enerated as the result of an alarm or a system irreg ularity. Displaying Reports The commands, listed in Table 1-1, and the resulting reports are described in d etail in Chap ters 2–6. Eac h of the monitor and list commands, depicted in Table 1-1 , results in p rod uc ing (d isp laying ) a d ifferent rep ort on the manag ement terminal sc reen. If the c ommand line qualifier print is selected — the report is immediately printed on the slave p rinter assoc iated with the manag ement terminal. Whenever the c ommand line qualifier schedule is initially exec uted , the system d efaults the rep ort for immed iate p rinting (on the System Printer unless a day and time of d ay is scheduled) and generates a Job Id. The Job Id is required by the Report Sc heduler feature for up d ating and d eleting the sc hed ule of rep orts. The Rep ort Scheduler, which is described in Chapter 2, ‘‘System Printer and Report-Scheduler’’, is used to ad minister a time/d ay sc hed ule for eac h d esired rep ort.
