The T-1 trunk card supports either the standard D4 framing format with Alternate Mark Inversion (AMI) or Ext end ed Supe rf ra me ( ESF -B8 ZS) forma t coding . T he s yst em can s uppor t TIE, loop start, ground s ta rt, and D ID si gnal i ng pe r channe l. The T -1 trunk card fits into one card slot, how ever, it ta kes up two ca rd slots worth of ti me sl ot s. The T -1 signaling protocols provided are: Loop Start, Ground S ta rt, T IE .
