Caution: When performing motor tests, ensure that all cover and door interlock switches are overridden. 1. Enter the Diagnostics Menu. 2. Touch MOTOR TESTS. 3. Touch Printer Motor tests 4. Touch CMY developer drive motor. Does the above component operate properly?Go to step 4. Go to step 3. 3Check the CMY developer drive motor assembly for proper connection. Is the above component properly connected?Replace the CMY developer drive motor assembly. Go to “CMY developer drive motor assembly removal” on page 4-99.Replace the connection. 4Perform a POR. Touch Trans belt fail HP. 3. Touch Trans belt fail HP. Is the transfer belt torn, damaged, or missing?Replace the transfer belt. If the problem persists, go to the next step.Go to step 3. 2Perform a POR. Does the error occur when the power is turned off/on?Go to the next step.Perform several print tests. If the problem persists, go to the next step. 3Did the error occur following a developer unit replacement? Verify the developers are installed correctly. See “Developer unit assembly removal” on page 4-63. If the problem persists, go to the next step.Go to the next step. 4Is the transfer belt torn, damaged, or missing? Replace the transfer belt. If the problem persists, go to the next step.Go to the next step. 5Check to ensure that the transfer belt lift mechanism is functioning properly. Note that the far left PC cartridge unit is tilted in the first image. Incorrect: Correct:Go to the next step.Remove and reinstall the PC cartridge units correctly. See “PC cartridge unit removal” on page 4-54. If the problem persists, go to the next step. 7Do the PC units easily slide in and out of the machine? Go to the next step.Replace any damaged PC units or any damaged erase lamp assembly. If not removed before the transfer belt lever is lowered, the transfer belt steering mechanism lock might break and remain inside the machine in the area, as showing in the following image (A). The following images show the transfer belt steering mechanism lock. Are there any remnants from the packaging?Remove any packaging remnants. Is the transfer belt drive motor assembly drive gear damaged?Replace the transfer belt drive motor assembly.
