    The system lets station users dial extension numbers by entering the
    name of a p er son p rog ram med for t hat st at ion . T he syst e m da tab ase
    allows en try of a name (alpha numeric) up to 24 characters for ea ch

    Reaching an Internal Station:
    Dial the desired station number. (Ringback tone is heard.)
    Do No t Disturb (D ND)
    DND blocks incoming paging and ringing, and provides visual status
    ind ication to other telep hones with DS S a ppe arance. Th e D ND cod e is
    [631].
    Act iv ati n g Do Not D is turb
    Press the p re-programmed D ND b utton ( DND button lights stead y), or
    dial [631] on the 8-bu tton keyset. The DND button can be pressed while
    the p hone is ringing to s top the ringing.
    Th e con fere nce time r moni tors a DI SAtr u nk- to -tr u nkcall a nd
    releasethelinesone(1) minuteafterthetimeexpires.

    							5-46 Executive Override
    Remov ing Do Not D istu rb
    Press the pre-programmed DND button or dial [631]. The button LED
    ext i nguis hes and DN D c anc e ls .
    Conditions
    †Calling stations receive a DND audible tone.
    †The fi rs t pr ogra mmed at te ndant d oes not have D ND ca pabi l it y.
    †DND capability is programmable on a per-station basis.
    On e- Tim e D o Not D i st ur b
    Prevents calls from ringing at your station while you are on a call. The
    One-Time DND condition automatically cancels when you end your call.
    Pre ss t he pre-progr ammed DND but ton whil e you are off-hook and connected
    to a CO line or intercom call. The DND button LED lights and off-h ook tones at
    your st at ion cance l.
    Cancelling One-Time Do Not Disturb

    Executive Override
    The Exe c uti ve Ove r ri de f eat ur e e nabl es E xec ut i ve d esi gnat e d st at ions the
    ability to override and barge-in on other keysets engaged in
    conve rs ation. The programming cod e is [625].
    If you call a b us y station:
    1 . Pr es s t he pr e- pro gram med EXE CUT IV E O VER R I DE but ton . E xe c ut ive
    st at ion is br id ged onto the CO l in e c onve rs at ion in prog re ss at t he
    called station. Optional warning tone is heard and presented to all
    parties prior to cut-through.

    							Executive Override 5 -47
    Conditions
    †An error tone occurs:
    - If the called party is in a conference.
    - If the called party is already on an OHVO call.
    - If the called party ha s a Ca mp-On a t the ir s ta tion.
    †If the Executive joins a call and one of the members does a hook-flash
    or pre ss es t hei r tr ans fer but t on, t he Exe cuti ve i s dr oppe d.
    †If the E xecutive does a hook-flas h or press es their tran sfer b utton, it is
    ign ore d.
    †When the Executive joins an intercom call or CO call and the
    Executive is not in a mute state, and any member of the party hangs
    up, the call is converted to a two-p arty conversa tion.
    †When the Executive joins an intercom call or CO call and the
    Executive is in the mute state, and either of the two parties in the
    intercom ca ll han g up, the call is droppe d. If the E xecutive ha ngs up,
    the call remains a two-party conversation.

    							5-48 Executive/ Secret ary Pairing
    Executive/Secretary Pairing
    There are four sets of Executive/Secretary pairings available. When the
    Executive station is busy or in DND, the Secretary station receives
    int e rcom call s and tr ans fer s. The S ecr et ar y st at i on can si gnal t he
    Exe cutive in DN D by using the Ca mp- On fea ture.
    Conditions
    †If you a re de sig nat ed t he Exe cuti ve st at ion and y our p hone is busy or
    in DND, al l ca ll s are r oute d t o t he Se cre t ar y s tat i on.
    †If you are the designated Secretary station, you can signal the
    Exe cu tive tha t is bus y or in DN D by using the Ca mp-On f eature.
    Flash
    When connected to an o uts ide li ne:
    Pre ss FLASH to disconne ct outs ide line a nd res eize outside line dial tone.

    Flexible Button Assignment
    If you have buttons on your tel ep hone, you m ay p rogr am th em to suit
    your own ne eds . T his fea ture was e nhance d in datab ase progra mming to
    allow pro gra mmin g of flexible buttons from a remote location (off- site).
    Range programming ca n also ass ign the se buttons to multiple s tations.

    							Flexible Button Ass ignmen t 5 -49
    FEA TURES-- When this button is pressed, it activates a particular
    fea tur e , t hus el imi nat i ng t he nee d f or dia li ng t he fe at ure c ode . S ome
    features require a programmed flex button for that feature to be
    accessible to the station user. In the case, it is designated in this Feature
    Op eration Section an d user guide. Feature bu ttons are p rogramm ed by
    the s ta ti o n u s er .
    SPEED DIA L-- This b utton ca n au toma tically acces s a sp eed numb er
    lo c a ti o n fo r o n e-s te p o per at io n. P B X a nd C ent r ex co d es c an be
    pr ogra mmed i nto a s pee d d ial b in and acces sed by pr ess ing one but ton .
    POOLED GROUP ACCESS-- A group of outside lines can be pla ced und er
    one button. When this button is pressed, the system selects an available
    li ne fr om t his gr oup on whi c h t he use r m ay p la ce a c al l.
    LOOP-- This button appears as the direct button for outside lines that do
    not app ear on th e us er’s te lephon e. Any phone that do es not have a ll
    lines ap pea ring on it m ust hav e a loop b utton. The re is N O limit to the
    number of LOOP button s a station may have.
    UNASSIGN (Lo cked Out )-- Specific buttons may be designated as
    locked ou t or u nused. When a button is unused, the button may not be
    progra mmed using flex b utton p rogramm ing pro cedures .
