DEFINITY AUDIX System Release 4.0 Screens Reference 585-300-213 Issue 1 May 1999 Screen Descriptions 3-9 disable/enable Alarm-Origination 3 disable/enable Alarm-Origination The Disab le/Enab le Alarm-Orig ination sc reens are used to temporarily d isable (or reenab le) the automatic alarm rep orting feature, take status of any alarms, and test alarms. It is typ ic ally used b y Luc ent Tec hnolog ies p ersonnel to d isab le alarm rep orting while troubleshooting and rep airing the system. (Alarm orig ination is automatic ally re-enab led when the log in that d isab led it log s off.) enable alarm-origination disable alarm-origination status alarm-origination test alarm-origination Pressing (Enter) after initially entering the sc reen will d isable (or reenab le) the alarm orig ination feature. Press (Canc el) to ab ort the test and return to the c ommand line. 2. Wait for the test to c omp lete. 3. Press (Enter) to p ut the test in the b ac kg round and return to the c ommand line. Ty p e status test to rec onnec t to the sc reen of a test running in b ac kg round , or to d isp lay the results of the most rec ently c omp leted test. A one-minute d elay is availab le to allow remote testing (test will fail b usy if you are logg ed on remotely.) To use this test feature: 1. Start test. 2. Put in b ac kg round . 3. Logoff. 4. If this field c ontains a location, the Resource Typ e field must c ontain a value. Disp lays only alarms related to the sp ecified resourc e typ e and loc ation. To view valid locations for this system, ac c ess list configuration or display voice group screen.5 to 7 charac ter p ort ad d ress of the sc reen port-network (2 d igits), carrier (1 letter), slot (2 dig its), and p ort (2 dig its). For examp le, 01a0201 sp ec ifies a p ort location as follows: p ort-network= 01, carrier= a, slot= 02, and port=01. NOTE: A b oard location consists of only five c haracters that sp ec ify the port-network, the carrier, and the slot. If the first five c haracters sp ec ify a valid b oard location, entering d ig its in the 6th and 7th positions (for a port) will generate an error message. Therefore, sp ec ifying a fault cod e without a resourc e type name c an d isplay multiple resourc e typ es with the same fault c ode. DISPLAY PAGE Resourc e Typ e Spec ific typ e of alarmed resource. Possible values in this field are any resourc e typ e defined in DEFINITY AUDIX System Release 4.0 Maintenanc e , 585-300-121. Loc ation 5 to 7 c haracter location for the fault resourc e type. Alm Lvl Alarm severity level. MAJ (major), MIN (minor), WRN (warning) Fault Code Fault c od e for a spec ific alarm for the given resourc e type. Eac h resourc e type has its own set of fault c od es.0 to 9999 Ack Ind icates whether the alarm was p resent d uring the last alarm orig ination c all, i.e., the alarm has b een reported to the servic es org anization. However, alarms may not have b een sent if there were a sig nificant numb er of hig her p riority alarms. y (alarm was p resent during the last referral c all) n (alarm was not p resent during the last referral c all) Date/Time Alarmed Date and time the alarm was raised against the g iven resourc e. This field should always have a value. If the Date/Time Resolved field s are b lank, the alarm is c urrently ac tive. Date/Time Resolved Date and the time the alarm was resolved If these fields are blank, the alarm is c urrently active. If only ac tive alarms are displayed, these fields should always be blank. If only resolved alarms are disp layed, this field should always have a value. Resolve Reason Cause of the alarm resolution.
