    Sample Tasks
    This sc reen is used to p erform a save of the voic e file system. You c an p erform 
    this save by add ing  the d ata to the data that alread y exists on the MO d isk, or 
    you c an erase the MO d isk and  ad d  the new data in one operation. Erase the MO 
    d isk if the d isk is full, or if it has a c orrup t file system. If the MO d isk is full or has a 
    c orrup t file system, the system will g enerate an alarm.
    NOTE:
    Onc e started , the save voic e operation c annot b e c anc elled . 
    Saving  d ata b y ad d ing  it to existing  d ata on the MO d isk: 
    1. Type save voice
     and  p ress   (Enter).
    2. Press   (Enter) to p roc eed  with the b ac kup  or   (Canc el) to c anc el the 
    op eration. The save op eration will p roc eed  in the b ac kg round . 
    Saving  d ata while erasing  the MO d isk: 
    1. Type save voice initialize
     and press   (Enter).
    2. Chec k d isp layed b ac kup  status and  p ress   (Enter) to c onfirm erasure of 
    the MO d isk and  proc eed  with the b ac kup or   (Canc el) to c anc el the 
    op eration. The save op eration will p roc eed  in the b ac kg round .
    To verify that the save has b een p erformed , typ e display backups
    .
    Additional Specifications
    Onc e started , the save voic e op eration c annot b e c anc elled . 
    The save is run in the bac kg round , whic h means the op eration is still running  for 
    some time even after the sc reen d isp lays Command Completed 
    Successfully
    . To c hec k the status of the b ac kg round  save, reac tivate the save 
    Vo i c e

    The Audit Results sc reen initiates a d emand  aud it on voic e files and  d isp lays the 
    results of the aud it. This aud it ensures that eac h voic e messag e file is assoc iated  
    with a sub scriber’s mailb ox.

    The Busyout/Release Voice Group sc reen enab les the system administrator to 
    b usyout or release a voic e g roup and  to d isp lay the results of the b usyout or 
    release op eration. 
    busyout voice-group 
    Takes the voic e g roup  out of servic e. Marks the voic e g roup  as unavailab le for 
    new servic e b ut its c urrent use is allowed to c omp lete. 
    busyout voice-group forced
     
    Removes voice g roup  from service immed iately (all calls in p rog ress are 
    dropped.)
    release voice-group 
    Returns the voic e group  to servic e.

    1. Type release voice-group
     and  p ress   (Enter). 
    2. Press   (Canc el) to ab ort the op eration and  exit the sc reen. 
    3. Press   (Enter) to invoke the release op eration. 
    Additional Specifications
    Servic e affec ting . Any p orts that are b usied  out c annot b e used  to send  or 
    rec eive c alls. 
    Name Description (display only)
    Resource Voice g roup  b eing  b usied  out or released. This is always VOICE_PT on this 
    sc reen.
    Loc ation Board loc ation identifier of the resourc e b eing b usied -out or released . The 
    loc ation identifier is a 7 charac ter string, suc h as 01a0201, that spec ifies 
    the p ort network (01), the c arrier (a), the slot (02), and the p ort (01).
    Extension Extension associated  with the resourc e
    State Current state of the resourc e 
    UEQ (Unequipped, voice group board is not present)
    UNP (Resourc e not p urc hased )
    ISP (In-servic e pending)
    ISI (In servic e and  id le)
    ISB (In-service and  busy)

    Reason If the resourc e is out of servic e (OOS), this field d isp lays a c ode ind icating

    A port must be id le before it c an b e c hang ed. To ensure that a p ort will b e idle, 
    the ad ministrator c an op tionally b usyout the p ort beforehand  (see the 
    busyout/release Port

    The op eration invoked by this sc reen will not d rop  ac tive c alls. 
    Name Description Valid Entries
    Port Voice port loc ation assigned to this voic e group , as 
    well as define the DEFINITY AUDIX c irc uit p ac k 
    loc ation. 7 c haracter string  that ind ic ates p ort 
    network, carrier, slot, and  p ort ID. For examp le, 
    01a0201 ind icates p ort network= 01, carrier= a, 
    slot= 02, and  port ID= 01. Port is the form of 
    p ort-network c arrier 
    board slot,
    i.e., 1A0401.
    The first five c harac ters sp ec ify the c irc uit p ac k 
    loc ation, 01a02 in the ab ove examp le. This numb er 
    must b e id entic al for all voice p orts. Only the last 
    two d igits of the voic e p ort location, the voic e p ort 
    number, is d ifferent for different voic e p orts. (The 
    c ircuit p ack loc ation is used  in the error log , alarm 
    log , event log , and other maintenanc e d isp lays to 
    id entify the rep orted  b oard.)
    NOTE:
    No more voic e p orts may b e ad ministered  than the c ustomer has 
    paid for as d etermined  b y the System-Parameters Customer Op tions 
    sc reen.
    Voic e port loc ations may not be d up lic ates.
    Extension The extension attac hed  to the port. A port without 
    an administered  extension numb er is not used  b y 
    the DEFINITY AUDIX System.A switc h extension

    State 3 c haracter string  that sp ec ifies the c urrent state of this voic e p ort. The 
    p ossib le states are as follows:

    The Save Weekly sc reen initiates a weekly b ac kup  to the MO disk. This c onsists 
    of rec ord ed  names of sub sc rib ers. If initialize
     is sp ec ified , all data is erased  from 
    the MO d isk b efore the b ac kup  starts, otherwise the d ata is ad d ed  to the files 
    alread y on the MO d isk. If locals-only
     is sp ec ified , only the rec ord ed  names of 
    loc al sub sc rib ers are written to the tap e. If all 
    is sp ec ified , loc al and remote 
    sub sc rib ers are rec ord ed . All
     is assumed  if neither is sp ec ified .
