    The information necessary for the O perator to program and operate the Hotel/
    Motel features in the
    STARPLUS®DHS-L™system is addressed in this chapter.

    Des crip ti on
    When a room occupant or employee d ials for em ergency serv ice (911), the operator/
    at te ndan t con sole wi l l b e noti fi ed and an S MDR r ecor d wi l l b e g ene ra te d.

    Pro g ram mi ng
    When a room us er dia ls th e CO access co de a nd dials for em ergency service ( 911) , the ca ll
    will be dialed. But for emergencies, the user may dial 911 directly without dialing the CO
    acces s cod e, thi s call 9 1 1 must be di al ed as wel l .
    To make this possible, Forced LCR for Gu est type stations is automatically enabled, and
    theLCRtablemustbeprogrammedfordealingwiththe11digits,andthedigit9willbe
    ins er t ed for the p re fix c ode.
    The sy stem must be p rogramme d eithe r LCR co de le ngth to 1 and th e lea ding to 9 or
    Trunk Route length to be 1 and the leading to be 9. Otherwise, the system will not dial
    out emergency call b y pressing 911 directly witho ut CO acces s cod e.
    This Fea ture will only be fu nctional whe n HOTE L (in C all Handlin g) is e nab le d.

    After the call is completed, the system will not generate another SMDR record.

    The Operator/Attendant is allowed to program all stations for multiple wake-up calls
    (re minders) .

    When in GUE ST mode, the station is programmed a s f ollows:

    only be programmed at the Attendant station.)

    Check Out
    1. Pres s [ FEAT ] + [7] + [#] + [3]. T he dis play s hows:
    2. Enter the desired station number and press [save].
    If the station directory number is valid, all the DSS/BLF of that station will be green
    slow flash , the COS of tha t station will be reduced to 7 and the Room Status w ill be
    Check-out. Also, one beep will b e p rovided and th e LCD will stay for 3 seconds bef ore
    goin g ba ck to normal opera tion.
    Room Ready
    When the Statio n Type database is sent from RMP to KSU, if the Station Type for particular
    stations is GUEST and those statio ns are not in Check-in, Check-out, Maintenance, or
    Unav ail ab le r oom st at us, al l the D SS/BLF of thos e st at ions wi ll be da rk, t he COS of tho se
    st at ions wi ll be 7 a nd t he R oom S ta tus wi ll be R oom Re ady .

    When th e Room Status of a station is C heck -out, it can be changed to Room Ready by

    is chang ed succes sfully, a beep will be provided for Digita l Keyset or a con firmation

    valid, all the DSS/BLF of that station will be red-lit, the COS of that stations will be
    re duced to 7 and the Room St at us w il l be unavai l abl e. If th e S ta ti on i s equi ppe d w it h
    an LC D, a mes sage will b e dis pla yed for 3 seconds. Also, one beep w ill be prov ided
    and the LCD will stay for 3 seconds bef ore going b ack to normal op eration.
