    Caller Identification (ICLID)
    Des crip ti on
    Incoming Caller Identification (ICLID) is an optional service offered by the local telephone
    c ompan y. W hen prop er ly eq uipp ed, t heDHS-Lwi ll d is pla y t his c al le r I D i nfor mat ion.
    Exe cutive te le phone s that are a ssigne d to ring for th is incoming line will dis play the ca ller
    dat a whil e the c al l is r ing ing.
    The key system operation of this feature is dependent on the feature first being activated
    from the T elep hone Ce ntral Office (C O) so that the numbe r/nam e of the calling party will
    be delivered over the individual tip and ring of the CO lines during the first silent interval
    be twe en ri ngi ng.
    The fe ature s imp le mente d ar e:
    1. Calling number or name display on initial ring-in of a line on the display keysets.
    2. Incom ing call nu mber/name recordin g on the SMD R printout.
    3. Retaining a list of the last 100 Unanswered Calls in a table for user access.

    Opera tion
    In th e f ollowin g example, the ca ller na me is Voda vi Comm unications S ystems, Inc . Since
    the tele phone compa ny can only provide 15 cha ra cte rs for any calle r’s na me, t he li kel y
    resulting display would be:
    The disp lay for the name can vary d epe nding up on the actua l data input f or the calle r’s
    name. When you answer the call, the display changes as follows:
    M ost c al le r name s w il l be ava il abl e in the da ta r ec ei ve d f rom the t el ep hone c ompan y.
    Howe ver, in the e vent that on ly a telep hone numbe r is provided , that da ta will be
    displayed instead of the caller name.
    Whenthenameisdisplayed,theDHS-Lha s rece iv ed both the caller n ame and numbe r
    from the telephone company. In this case, the caller number can be displayed (if desired)
    by pre ss ing the rig ht soft button, o r a fter ans wering the call.

    may be retrieved at the CO line interface and delivered to theDHS- LKSU via an ext er nal
    Caller ID device connected to the ICLID/PC Programming RS232 port. This external
    (opt iona l) de vic e mus t be c onfi gure d i n t heDHS-Lto associate the line circuit number
    from the unit to theDHS-Lli ne po si ti o n to be u sed wi th the c a ll er I D l i ne. Eac hDHS-LCO
    line circuit that is to be use d with telephon e com pany calle r ID must b e p rogramm ed
    wit h a n as soci at ed IC LID de vi ce p ort num ber . The de faul t val ue 0 ind icat e s t hat no call e r
    ID will be received on this CO line. For caller ID to function effectively, the baud rate must
    be set to 2400.

    TheDHS- LRMTX_RATE is 1200 baud, and the range is programmable from 110/300/600/
    1200/2400/4800/9600/19200.

    Essentially, whenever an incoming call is received at the system, the name and number
    re ceive d along with the ringing signal will be stored in the line control ta ble s and us ed at
    vario us p oints in the proces sing of th e ca ll.
    The primary function implies that the calling name/number will be displayed (if available)
    at any poi nt whe re t he LIN E RI NGI NG i s dis pl aye d i n t he sys te m.

    The specification for this feature is that the system will display its LINE RINGING message
    as norm ally imp le mente d and alte r that display to the calling numbe r/na me if the
    information is made present on the line. This will allow the normal operation of the
    sys te m whe n ICL ID inf orma tion is not prese nted or the de vice which inte rce pts it and
    provid es th e information to the KSU is mis sing or fa iled .

    the internal table stora ge o f the calling na me. Note tha t the CO d elive ry of the calling
    name is 15-characters. If the CO delivers a name, it will be positioned left justified in the
    15-character field on the display. If no name is available, the delivered number will be left
    justified in the display, as shown for the“N”s.
    For example, Executive Key Telephones will display the number or name (if programmed)
    of the internal station that is calling. In addition, transfer recalling lines and forwarded
    calls will display the orig ina l d estination stations identity:

    Calli ng Number (S MDR)
    As with fe ature impleme nta tion, the intent is that the sys te m op erate norma lly in the
    abs ence of IC LID information or the fa ilure of the ICL ID eq uipm ent. If the information is
    prese nt at the time that an SMDR re cord is ge nerated for a ca ll, it will alter the conte nt
    and format of the SMD R output record .
    If the calling number is available, the number will be output in the SMDR record in the
    same location as the dialed number is located in the outgoing calls.

    For instance -- if the te le phone comp any C O line with ca ller ID fea ture ena ble d is
    connected to theDHS-Lon CO line pos ition 1 and connected to the IC LID de vice -
    position 4; CO line 1 of theDHS- Lmus t be prog ram med for I CLI D Por t 0 4. EachDHS-LCO
    line circuit that is to be use d with telephon e com pany calle r ID must b e p rogramm ed
    wit h a n as soci at ed IC LID de vi ce p ort num ber .
    The default value 0 indicates that no caller ID will be received on this CO line.

    This feature allows you to have calls parked at your telephone that can be retrieved from
    any telephone in the system. Calls are parked and retrieved by dialing the Call Park code
    followed by the pre-assigned station number.

    Dur ing a ca ll on Line 1 :
    1. Dial [FEAT] + [7] + [3]. At an Executive Telephone, the display will show:

    TheDHS- LPark Remind is set for 30 sec, and is variable at 30/60/90/120/150/180 sec.

    You ma y ans wer ca lls ringing at an other station using the Direct Call Pick Up or Group
    Call Pick Up feature. Direct Call Pick Up allows you to retrieve calls ringing at any other
    st at io n by d ia li ng a c o de and the s ta ti o n nu m ber o f th e r i nging st at io n . Gr o u p Cal l Pi c k
    Up allows you to retrieve calls within the same station group. If multiple calls are ringing
    at a station, a priority list determines which call will be answered first.
