    ADP Mo dular Jack
    Des crip ti on
    All key telephone types are equipped with an Analog Device Port (ADP) jack. The ADP
    ja ck is a n open, twisted -pair conductor path that m ay b e extended f rom th e KS U via the
    se c o nd pa ir o f th e s ta ti o n c a bli ng. The A DP m ay b e u s ed to ext e nd a SLT s yst em st at io n
    port or CO line to the d igital key telepho ne d es ktop for conve nient conne ction of any
    anal og int er face de vi ce ( answe r ing machi ne, mode m, facsi mi le ma ch ine , e tc. ).
    The stan dard 2-pa ir key telephone mountin g cord (line cord) p rov ided with each key
    telephone extends the second statio n cable pair to the key telephone ADP jack. Any
    analog device connected to the AD P jack operates ind ependently of key telep hone
    operation.
    Alarm Clock
    Des crip ti on
    You may activate your own private alarm on your telephone to remind you of special
    appointments, events, wakeup calls, etc. When the alarm activates, you will hear tone
    ringing fo r 6 seconds. After the 6 seconds, the alarm is automatically canceled.

    To turn ON a signaling alarm:
    1. Press [FEAT ].
    2. Dial [9] + [2].
    3. Dial HHMM whe re HH is hour, MM is minute (24-hour clock).

    3. Press CHG.
    4. Dial HHMM whe re HH is hour, MM is minute (24-hour clock).
    5. Press [SAVE].
    6. Press soft button 1 for one time activation, or soft button 2 for always.

    When the alarm time is reached, you will hear tone ringing and the display will show:

    One primary attendant is provided in the system for support of necessary services like

    have its own secondary attendant.

    Auto matic Busy Redial (A BR)
    Des crip ti on
    Au toma ti c Busy Red ial (ABR) may b e used to r edi al the las t numbe r. T he s ystem wi ll
    automatica lly dial the nu mber an d then m onitor th e line for a busy signal. If a busy sig nal
    is detected, the system ends the call and attempts to dial the number again. The redial
    cycle will continue until th e m axim um num ber of atte mpts des igna te d in p rogramm ing
    is r eac he d.

    1. Press [FEAT ].
    2. Dial [7] + [8]. An Executive Te le phone will disp lay :

    backg round music (BGM) through the s pea ker. You can u se the fe ature cod e to s elect
    be twe en BGM C hanne l 1, BG M C hanne l 2 (if the syste m is so e quippe d), a nd No BGM. The
    BGM automatically turns OFF when you receive or make a call. BGM turns on again when
    the tele phone is idle .

    A second mus ic source m ay b e con nected to the s ystem for listening at key telep hone
    stations.IfthissourceisnotuseditmaybedesirabletodisablethatBGMchannel.When
    BGM is set to N the second music source will not be connected to a station that has
    tog gle d the BGM code [801 or 802], on ly the firs t music chann el source, such a s Mus ic on
    Hold (MOH), will be toggled at the telephone.

    code [801 or 802].

    Busy Lamp Field (BLF)
    Des crip ti on
    Depending on user requirements, any Programmable Feature Button can be
    programmed as a Busy Lamp Field (BLF) button to mo nitor a stations status. When the
    progra mmed station is off- hook or in Do Not Disturb (DN D), the button LED will light red.
    This same button is used as a one-button Direct Station Selection (DSS) call button for
    quick inside calling.
    If a fe ature bu tton is prog ramme d for B GM, the lam p for th at bu tton will not l igh t to i ndi cate
    BGM is a ctiv ate d. He arin g the BGM w ill be you r confi rmatio n that th e fea ture is a ctiv ate d.

    button will light whe ne ver the ass ocia te d s ta tion is busy (off- hook) or in the Do Not
    Di st urb mode .

    Call Abandon is a CO line setting that monitors the CO line for distant party hang up.
    Whe n se t t o”Y”theDHS- Lwill monito r that C O line th roughou t the call duration for

    Call Abandon Time is set for 2 modes ACTIVE CALL and HELD CALL. This time represents
    the minimum interruption in loop current during these modes of operation that must be
    det e c te d t o for c e a C O li ne on-hook . A ny C O li ne mar ke d Ca ll A ban don Y w il l foll ow t he
    ass ocia te d t im er pr ogr ammi ng.

    This feature allows you to queue a station which is busy, in Do Not Disturb (DND), or idle.

    busy st at ion hangs up. W hen you se nd a Cal l Back t o an idl e st at ion, the Ca ll Back proce ss

    hands et or pre ss [SPKR]. The n the queue d s ta tion b egins ringing.
    Opera tion
    Call the station that you want to queue. An Executive Telephone will display the
    following according to the status of the telephone you are calling:
