Typically, no modification of tone/inter-digit duration is required. Howev er, in s ome ins ta llations where line cond itions are poor, tone duration and/or inter-digit duration timing may be increased to offset poor conditions. Tone duration and inter-digit duration m ay b e ass igne d a ny v alue (50 to 150 ms ). When you cond uct a tra nsfer, the ou ts ide line is p laced on Exclusive Hold and can only be retrieved at your telephone or the telephone where you transferred the ca ll.
