    †Only o ne s ta tion is allowed to wait for the tone detecto r to b ecome ava ilable.
    †When the tone detector is currently assigned to a station, the maximu m allowed time
    to wai t for CO dia l tone i s 6 s econds (de fau lt ).
    †If no CO dial tone is detected within 6 seconds, the tone detector will be returned to
    id le, or as sig ned to anot her wa it ing st at ion . T he n umbe r e nt er ed wil l the n b e dia le d.
    †In th e u n li kel y e ve nt tha t mo re t han o ne st ati o n r eq u es ts a to ne de te c to r a t exa c tl y
    the s ame moment, those station s will hear internal busy tone immediately, although
    a tone detector may be available.
    Tone/Inte r- Digit Duration
    Des crip ti on
    De pend ing on the ty pe of C O, and the cus tome r spe cia lized dia ling req uirem ents, the
    TO NE TIME a nd INT ER-D IGIT ti me may be modi fi ed for man uall y- dia le d or s ystem
    automatically-dialed digits. Typically, no modification of tone/inter-digit duration is
    required. Howev er, in s ome ins ta llations where line cond itions are poor, tone duration
    and/or inter-digit duration timing may be increased to offset poor conditions. Tone
    duration and inter-digit duration m ay b e ass igne d a ny v alue (50 to 150 ms ).
    Pro g ram mi ng
    Timing can be adjusted such that dialing automatically emulates slow, methodical
    dep re ssi ons of t he di al pa d ke ys. Not e: in cr e asi ng t he di git d urat i on an d i nte r- di git t im e
    may als o be de si ra ble for a ppl ic at i ons wh er e t he use r must di al i nto an off -si t e v oic e mai l
    sys tem or other dial pa d key operated d evice tha t does not resp ond well to fa ster dialing
    modes. There are two Dialing Ratio parameters that may be programmed; TONE TIME
    and IN T_D GT TI ME. Tone Ti me i s t he act ual dur at ion of D TMF tone t hat t he sys te m wi l l
    se nd for e ach dia l p ad key press ed while conne cte d to a CO line . Int_D gt Time is the
    minimumactualtimebetweenDTMFdigitsthatthesystemwillwaitbeforesendingthe

    Tr a n s f e r
    Des crip ti on
    There are four (4) types of transfer you may use: screened, unscreened, voice mail, and
    one- button trans fer. When you cond uct a tra nsfer, the ou ts ide line is p laced on Exclusive
    Hold and can only be retrieved at your telephone or the telephone where you transferred
    the ca ll. A s cre ene d transf er occurs whe n you announ ce the call to the pe rs on to whom
    you are transferring the call.
    Opera tion
    To perform a n Uns cre ene d C O line or intercom ca ll tra nsfe r:
    1. Press [HOLD].

    3 . Pr es s [ TR A NS] to tr ans fer t he c al l u nsc re en ed.
    To perform a Screened CO line or intercom call transfer:
    1. Press [HOLD].
    2 . Di al th e s ta ti o n/ Hu nt Gr o u p nu m ber whe r e yo u want t o t ra nsfe r the c al l .
    3. Wait for the person you called to answer.
    4. Press [ TRANS] to complete the call transfer.

    To transfer to a Voice Mail Mailbox :
    1. Pr es s [ HOLD ], the n di al the voice ma il Hunt gr oup numbe r (e.g. , 430).
    2. Dial the 3-digit station number of the target mailbox.
    3. Press [ TRANS] to complete the call transfer.
    Co n dit io n s
    †Ring transfer recall time for any CO line call is programmable, between 16, 30, 60, 90,
    and 12 0 se conds.
    †Whe n a trans ferre d C O line re ca lls, the line num ber a nd s tation numb er whe re the
    call was transferred will be displayed.
    †Once the outside line changes from Hold to Transfer status, the outside party will
    hea r Mus ic- on-Hold ch ange to a s ystem -provid ed Ring Back tone.
    Auto Transfer MUST first be enabled to use the One-Button Transfer method.
    Press [FEAT] + [5] + [4] to enabl e Auto Transfer.

    †Intercom calls that are transferred, follow the Intercom Selection mode at the
    des tination station ( Voice Ann ounce H ands -Free or To ne Ring).

    intercom ca ll in Voice Announce Hand s-Free mod e, a nd d oes not go of f-hook to
    connect with you on an intercom cha nnel, the CO line will tra nsfe r ring when the

    An alphanumeric, seven-character user name may be assigned to each station in the
    system. This name will be displayed on Executive Key Telephones in place of the standard

    The station user name or depa rtmen t ca n be programmed to a ppear on the LC D of an
    Executive Key Telephone. The station intercom number will also be displayed when a

    bank account number), as a scratch pad entry for future use. When the station is idle, the
    user can enter either the SDN ([FEAT] + [5] + [1]) and/or USNR feature codes to make a CO

    When a voice m ail s ystem is connected to theDHS-Lvia SL T p orts the ope ration o f the

    allow the caller entering voice mail to be diverted to the appropriate menu level. The

    e. When ICM/VM: appears, press [chg].
    f. Pre ss [FE AT + 4] and dial [7], the n pres s [ sav e].
    g. Press [next] until TRANSFER appears, then press [chg].
    h. Pre ss [FE AT + 4] and dial [7], the n pres s [ sav e].
    i. Press [next] until DIRECT FWD appears, then press [chg].
    j. Pre ss [FE AT + 4] and dial [7], the n pres s [ sav e].
    k. Pre ss [nex t] until BUSY FWD app ea rs, then press [chg] .
    l. Pre ss [FE AT + 4] and dial [7], the n pres s [ sav e].
