    Twenty four line groups are  available  for CO line assignment. Groups 
    shoul d b e a ssi gne d a ccor di ng t o t ype  (l ocal , F X,  WA TS , e tc.) . A ll  
    unassigned  CO lines should be programmed into a  different  group so 
    they a re not a ccess ed  by L ine Queuing,  Pooled Group  acces s (Pool 
    Buttons ), S peed D ia l,  or  LCR  fea tures . Line Group 0 is  for  progra mming a 
    line( s) a s a  priv ate.  CO Lines  as signed  to Line  Group  0 can  only  be  
    acces se d by  st at ions  wi th  a  dir ect  C O  appe ar ance  (but t on) on  the ir

    Voice Mail or  Hunt Group,  or  Off-Net  (via speed dial).  CO Line  ringing is

    des ig nat ed  to  ri ng du ri ng t he  day , dur i ng t he  nigh t,  or  re cei ve  bot h D ay 
    and  Nig ht ringin g. S ta tions that a re  as sig ned  for  initial ring -in mu s t ha v e

    pr ogra mmed  l ine  nam e i n p la ce of  t he d efa ult  LI NE  XX X me ss age . T his  
    app li es  t o al l  li ne  call  p roce ssi ng  con dit i ons wh er e t he  cur re nt  LI NE  XXX 
    message displays.
    SMDR contin ues to prin t out th e line  numbe r in place  of  the  progra mme d 
    name . If  the  line  na me  was  not  progra mmed , the  curre nt  LIN E X XX 
    display is the default. A programmable data  field is available for each line 
    in  the  s yst em.  Li ne  name s  may b e  ass igne d us ing  t he  ran ge

    CO Line  attributes. When entering  the CO Line attributes portion  of the 
    database, the  programmer may decide  to  enter information for a  range 
    of C O  lines  or one sp ecific  CO  Line.  Range programming lets  th e 
    programmer change  a specific parameter or a  few parameters for  an 
    entire range of CO Lines leaving intact the remaining data fields that do 
    not require change. Those  data fields continu e to operate with the 
    previously programmed  data.
