The Adjusting color sample is printed. 9Compare the color between the color palette on the screen and printed adjusting color sample. Note Any colors marked with a cross cannot be adjusted. 10Click the color you want to adjust. 11Check each adjustable range from the pull-down menu for X and Y. Note The adjustable value varies depending on the color. 12Check the printed color sample to select the most suitable color you want within the adjustable range and then check the X and Y values. 13Select the values you checked in the previous step and click “OK”. 14Click “Print Palette” and check that the adjusted color is closer to the color you want. Changing Gamma Value or Hue You can adjust the tone by adjusting the gamma value, and the output color by adjusting the hue. For Windows 1Click “Start > “All Programs” > “Okidata” > “Color Correct Utility” > “Color Correct Utility”. 2Select “Hue & Saturation Tuning” and click “Next”. 3Select the MFP, then click “Next”. 4Select the standard mode, then click “Next”. 5Apply settings as necessary by adjusting the slide bar. Note If you select the “Use printer’s unadjusted color” check box, 100% of each color is used for printing, and the hue slide bar is fixed. 6Click “Test Print”. 7Check the print result. Macintosh OS X PS Printer Driver 1Open the file you want to print. 2From the “File” menu, select “Print”. 3Click “Office Color” on the “Color” panel. 4Click “Options” to select the setting you created with the Color Correct Utility from “User Color Adjustment”. 5Click “OK”. Saving Color Correction Settings You can save the adjusted color settings to a file. Important! The administrator’s authority is needed for this function. Importing Color Correction Settings You can import color correct settings from the files you have saved. For Windows 1Click “Start” > “All Programs” > “Okidata” > “Color Correct Utility” > “Color Correct Utility”. 2Select “Import/Export Color Settings”, then click “Next”. 3Select the MFP, then click “Next”. 4Click [“Import”. 5Select the file you want and then click “Open”. 6Select the settings you want to import, then click “Import”. 7Check that the setting is imported properly, then click “Finish”. Deleting Color Correction Settings You can delete unnecessary setting files. For Windows 1Click “Start” > “All Programs” > “Okidata” > “Color Correct Utility” > “Color Correct Utility”. 2Select “Import/Export Color Setting”, then click “Next”. 3Select the MFP and click “Next”. 4Select the file you want to delete, then click “Delete”. 5Click “Yes” to confirm the deletion. 6Check that the setting is deleted properly, then click “Finish”. For Macintosh OS X 1Launch the Color Correct Utility. 2Select the MFP and then click “Select PPD file” to select a file. 3Select the PPD file on the MFP and click “Open”. 4Click “Next”. 5Click “Manage Color Settings”. Color Swatch Utility: Windows only _______________________ You can print RGB color samples on the MFP using the Color Swatch Utility. The RGB values given for each RGB color sample can be entered in your application software to ensure that the color printed matches the color on the swatch. The color swatch prints. 5Select the color you want and write down its RGB values. Customizing the Color Sample If you cannot find the color you want on the color swatch, follow the procedures below to customize the color. 1Click “Switch”. 2Click “Detail”. 3Adjust the three slide bars until the color you want appears. 4Click “Close”. 5Click “Print” 6Select the MFP from “Name”. 7Click “OK”. Note If you are not satisfied with the printing result, repeat from step 1. Printing a File with the Color You Want For details on how to specify the color on the application, read your application’s manual.
