    7400A Option Settings
    The 7400A fac tory d efault user interfac e is set for the Hayes AT c ommand  set. 
    The DEFINITY AUDIX system need s to have the user interfac e set for Keyb oard  
    Dial. 
    Use the following  p roc ed ure to c hang e the user interfac e:
    1. Press the NEXT/NO or BACK b uttons on the front p anel until the SET 
    INTERFACE?
     op tion ap pears. 
    2. Press the ENTER/YES b utton to selec t the interfac e menu. 
    3. Use the NEXT/NO b utton until INT -> KYBD DIAL? 
    ap p ears on the 
    LCD. 
    4. Press the ENTER/YES b utton to selec t the Keyboard Dial
     op tion. 
    The 7400A will perform a selftest and  initialize the Keyb oard  Dial user interfac e.
    Set the following  op tions using  the SET OPTIONS?

    This chapter contains instruc tions for performing initial digital networking 
    ad ministration and ac c ep tanc e tests on the DEFINITY AUDIX system. 
    Ac c ep tanc e tests are network c hec ks p erformed  b efore p rovid ing  networking  
    c ap abilities to sub sc rib ers. This c hap ter p resents:
    nAdministering the digital networking ports on the switc h
    nAd ministering mod ems, async hronous d ata units (ADUs), and  d ata 
    mod ules on the switc h for DCP Mode 2
    nAd ministering the loc al DEFINITY AUDIX system for d ig ital networking  and  
    p erforming  a test mac hine on the loc al system
    nAd ministering the remote systems on the loc al DEFINITY AUDIX system
    nAd ministering the DEFINITY AUDIX system on the remote systems
    nTesting  networking  c onnec tions
    nAd d ing  test sub sc rib ers to the loc al and remote systems and  testing these 
    sub sc rib ers
    nAd d ing  remote sub sc rib ers to the loc al system
    nSetting  weekly b ac kup  p arameters, traffic  c ollec tion, and  c all transfer out 
    of AUDIX

    Refer to the information you rec eived  from the d esig n c enter when c ompleting  
    the switc h ad ministration. 
    Before beg inning this ad ministration, ob tain the first two voic e p ort extensions for 
    the loc al DEFINITY AUDIX system from the Voic e Group sc reen (display 
    voice-group
    ) on the DEFINITY AUDIX system if you d o not alread y have these 
    extensions availab le (refer to DEFINITY AUDIX Ad ministration later in this c hap ter 
    for log in p roc ed ures).
    Log  in to the switc h ad ministration terminal. Refer to your switc h ad ministration 
    d oc umentation for log in p roc edures. 
    Task 1: Administer the Digital Networking Ports 
    Ad minister a Data Mod ule sc reen on the switc h for eac h networking  p ort. For the 
    first networking  p ort, administer the Data Mod ule sc reen for voic e p ort 1. For the 
    sec ond  networking  p ort, ad minister the Data Module sc reen for voic e p ort 2. 
    Use the following  p roc ed ure to administer a Data Mod ule sc reen:
    1. For the first voic e p ort, enter change station
     
    extension (extension 
    numb er of the first voic e p ort) at the switc h administration terminal. The 
    first p ag e of the Station sc reen d isp lays for the voic e p ort.
    2. Enter a y
     in the Data Module field. This adds a Data Module screen for the 
    station.
    3. Pag e to the Data Mod ule sc reen. 
    4. In the Data Extension field , enter a uniq ue extension from the switc h 
    dialing plan.
    5. In the Name field  (op tional), enter a name that id entifies the networking  
    port.
    6. Enter a COR and COS for the networking port that reflects the desired 
    COS and /or COR for the port. Use a sep arate c lass of servic e with d ata 
    p rivac y and no restric tions.
    7. In the ITC field (Information Transfer Cap ab ility) for G3V2, G3V3, and 
    G3V4, enter restricted
    .
    8. Save the c hang es.
    9. Rep eat steps 1 throug h 7 for the sec ond  networking  port if there is one.
