DEFINITY AUDIX System Digital Networking 585-300-534 Issue 2 May 1999 Initial Network Administration and Acceptance Tests 9-2 Switch Administration 9 Switch Administration Refer to the information you rec eived from the d esig n c enter when c ompleting the switc h ad ministration. Before beg inning this ad ministration, ob tain the first two voic e p ort extensions for the loc al DEFINITY AUDIX system from the Voic e Group sc reen (display voice-group ) on the DEFINITY AUDIX system if you d o not alread y have these extensions availab le (refer to DEFINITY AUDIX Ad ministration later in this c hap ter for log in p roc ed ures). Log in to the switc h ad ministration terminal. Refer to your switc h ad ministration d oc umentation for log in p roc edures. Task 1: Administer the Digital Networking Ports Ad minister a Data Mod ule sc reen on the switc h for eac h networking p ort. For the first networking p ort, administer the Data Mod ule sc reen for voic e p ort 1. For the sec ond networking p ort, ad minister the Data Module sc reen for voic e p ort 2. Use the following p roc ed ure to administer a Data Mod ule sc reen: 1. For the first voic e p ort, enter change station extension (extension numb er of the first voic e p ort) at the switc h administration terminal. The first p ag e of the Station sc reen d isp lays for the voic e p ort. 2. Enter a y in the Data Module field. This adds a Data Module screen for the station. 3. Pag e to the Data Mod ule sc reen. 4. In the Data Extension field , enter a uniq ue extension from the switc h dialing plan. 5. In the Name field (op tional), enter a name that id entifies the networking port. 6. Enter a COR and COS for the networking port that reflects the desired COS and /or COR for the port. Use a sep arate c lass of servic e with d ata p rivac y and no restric tions. 7. In the ITC field (Information Transfer Cap ab ility) for G3V2, G3V3, and G3V4, enter restricted . 8. Save the c hang es. 9. Rep eat steps 1 throug h 7 for the sec ond networking port if there is one.
