To hand le d istanc es b etween the PPN and its EPNs, the system trac ks one or more loc ations b y assig ning eac h c ab inet a loc ation number. All loc ations must b e in the same c ountry c od e. If upg rad ing from a p re-Release 7, you may need to set the loc ations for your EPNs. To ad minister loc ations, follow the p roc ed ure in Table 5-11 . NOTE: The sc reens and field d esc rip tion follow the tab le. Table 5-11. Administer location procedure ÖStep Action Description 1. Ac tivate the feature Typ e change system-parameters customer-options and press En te r. (Init password req uired .) The Customer Options screen displays. Go to screen 3 (Screen 5-10 ). 2. Set multiple locations Chang e the value in the Multiple locations field to y and press En t e r. NOTE: The system is limited to a sing le location unless this field is c hanged . 3. Ad minister c ab inet locationsAd minister all other loc ations as necessary. For examp le, if the PPN is in New York and a g roup of EPNs is in Los Ang eles, then New York (loc ation 1) is the reference and is ad ministered with no time offset (see step 8). Los Angeles (location 2) is 3 hours earlier than New York time and is administered with a time offset of -03:00. Ad minister cab inet locations as they are add ed to the system. More than 1 c ab inet can b e in the same loc ation. For loc ation-related feature limitations and interac tions see Table 5-11 . When finished , p ress En te r to effec t the c hang es.
