Trunk Busy Switches 2. Outgoing Busy Switches (1 per trunk) can be set for either of the following conditions: Idle setting - normal trunk operation Busy setting - trunk cannot be seized for outgoing call. 3. The “outgoing busy” condition may be set either by the outgoing busy switch (Note 2), or by the console “Trunk Busy Out” function. When this condition is in effect the incoming Busy Switch affects the trunk condition as follows: Idle setting - no answer will be given to incoming trunk calls Busy setting - a permanent seizure condition is given towards the trunk. (non-condensing) - Before using a disk, it must be acclimatized for 24 hours in the environment in which it will operate - System power must be on before inserting a disk into or re- moving a disk from the drive - Whenever the disk is to be removed or inserted, ensure that there is no read or write activity in progress from the system, the LED on the disk drive must be OFF. Shipping, Receiving, And Installation information 6. CABLING AND CROSS-CONNECTIONS General 6.01 This Part details the cabling and cross-connections required when installing the SX-ZOO@ DIGITAL PABX. Telephone Set and Trunk Cabling 6.02 Telephone set and trunk cabling terminates on the building cross-connect terminal in the normal manner. System Cable Terminations 6.03 All interconnecting cables must be terminated in accordance with Tables 6-l to 6-9 according to the number of bays sup- plied and equipped. Complete the Tip & Ring Assignment forms for the stations, trunks, and other equipment being installed. These forms will provide a per- manent on-site record of this installation and should be maintained up-to-date. Page 6-1
