PropertyDescription Tray Selection Make sure that Paper Source is set to the appropriate paper tray. Use the Manual Feed source when printing on special material. You need to load one sheet at a time into the Bypass tray. See page 3.8. If you install an optional Tray 2 and set Tray 2 in printer properties (see page D.8), you can select Tray2. Printing From a Macintosh (WORKCENTRE PE120I ONLY)C.2 Installing Software for Macintosh The PostScript driver CD-ROM that came with your machine provides you with the PPD file to use the PS driver, Apple LaserWriter driver, for printing on a Macintosh computer. Refer to the table below for the driver available for your machine. Verify the following before you install the software: 1Connect your machine to the computer using the USB cable or the Ethernet cable. For details, see page 2.12 and page 2.14. 2Turn on your computer and the machine. 3Insert the PS driver CD-ROM which came with your machine into the CD-ROM drive. 4Double-click the Xerox_MFP on your Macintosh desktop. 5Double-click the Installer folder. 6For Mac OS 8.6~9.3, double-click the Xerox WC PE120 Series_Classic icon. For Mac OS 10.1~10.3, double-click the Xerox WC PE120 Series_OSX icon. Printing From a Macintosh (WORKCENTRE PE120I ONLY)C.4 Setting Up the Machine The way to set up your machine is different depending on which cable you use to connect the machine to your computer-the network cable or the USB cable. For a Network-connected Macintosh Mac OS 8.6 ~ 9.2 1Follow the instructions on page C.2 to install the PPD file on your computer. 2From the Apple menu, select Chooser. 3Click LaserWriter 8 (the PostScript driver provided with your Macintosh). The name of your machine appears on the list. 4Select XEC000xxxxxxxxx from the printer box (where the xxxxxxxxx varies depending on each of the machines) and Click Select. If Auto Setup does not work properly, click Select PPD, choose Xerox WC PE120 Series, and click OK. 5When the setup is complete, you see your machine icon created as a desktop printer. 6Close the Chooser. 7When a message window appears telling you that you have changed your current machine, click OK. Select XEC000xxxxxxxxx from the printer box, where the xxxxxxxxx varies depending on your machine. 5Click Add. 6If Auto Select does not work properly, select Xerox in Printer Model and Xerox WC PE120 Series in Model Name. Your machine appears on the Printer List and is set as the default printer. Follow these steps to print from a Macintosh computer: NOTE: The LaserWriter driver’s window may be different depending on the version of your Macintosh system, but the features available are the same. 1Open a Macintosh application and select the file you want to print. 2Open the File menu and click Page Setup (Document Setup in some applications). 3Choose your paper size, orientation, scaling, and other options and click OK. 4Open the File menu and click Print. 5Choose the number of copies you want and indicate which pages you want to print. 6Click Print when you finish setting the options. The machine finishes printing the page that is moving through the machine and deletes the rest of the print job. This feature provides a cost-effective way to print draft pages. 1From your Macintosh application, select Print from the File menu. 2Select the Layout. 3Select the number of pages you want to print on one sheet of paper on the Pages per Sheet drop-down list. To print a border around each page on the sheet, select the option you want on the Border drop-down list. 5Click Print and the machine prints the selected number of pages on one side of each page. Scheduling a Print Job You can set your machine to print a job at a future time. 1From your Macintosh application, select Print from the File menu. 2Select Scheduler. 3Select the time when you want the print job to be printed. • Now: The machine prints a job immediately. • At: The machine prints a job at the time you set in the field. • On hold: The machine holds a print job in the print queue until you are ready to release it. 4Select a priority for your print job on the Priority drop- down list. 5Click Print.
