    Use the Automatic \yNetwork	Setup when connecting yo\yur 
    TV to a network th\yat supports DHCP\b To set up your TV’s 
    cable network conn\yection automatical\yly, \follow these st\yeps:
    How	to	set	up	automatically
    1.	Connect your TV to \yyour LAN as describ\yed in the 
    previous section\b
    2.	 Turn on your TV, press the MENU button on your 
    remote, use the ▲ or ▼ button to select \ySetup, and 
    then press the ENTER
    E button\b
    3.	 Use the ▲ or ▼ button to select \yNetwork in the Setup 
    menu, and then press the ENTER
    E button\b The 
    Network screen appears\b
    4.	 On the Network screen, select Network	Type\b
    5.	 Set Network	Type to Wire\f\b
    6.	 Select Network	Setup\b The Network	Setup screen 
    appears\b
    7.	 Set Internet	Protocol	Setup to Auto\b 
    8.	 Auto acquires and enters the n\yeeded Internet values  automatically\b
    9	 When done, press the RETURN button on your remote\b
    10.	 I\f the Network Function has not \yacquired the network

    Network	Setup	(Manual)
    Use the Manual Network	Setup when connecting yo\yur TV to 
    a network that requires a Static IP address\b 
    Getting	the	Network	\bonnection	Values
    To get the Network \yconnection values \yon most Windows 
    computers, \follow t\yhese steps:
    1.	 Right click the Ne\ytwork icon on the \ybottom right o\f the\y 
    screen\b
    2.	 In the pop-up menu\y that appears, cli\yck Status\b
    3.	 On the dialog that \yappears, click the\y Support tab\b
    4.	 On the Support Tab, click the Deta\yils button\b The 
    Network connection\y values are displayed\b
    How	to	set	up	manually
    To set up your TV’s cable network co\ynnection manually, \y
    \follow these steps:\y 
    1.	 Follow Steps 1 through 6 in the “How\y to set up 
    automatically” procedure\b
    2.	 Set Internet	Protocol	Setup to Manual\b
    3.	 Press the ▼ button on your remote to go to the\y first 
    entry field\b
    4.	 Enter the IP	A\f\fress, Subnet	Mask, Gateway, and 
    DNS	Server values\b Use the nu\ymber buttons on you\yr 
    remote to enter num\ybers and the arrow buttons to move\y 
    \from one entry field t\yo another\b
    5.	 When done, press the RETURN button on your remote\b
    6.	 Select Network	Test to check the Inte\yrnet connectivity\b

    ¦ \bonnecting	to	a	Wireless	Network
    To connect your TV t\yo your network wirelessly, you need a \ywireless router or modem and \ya Samsung Wireless LAN Adapter 
    (WIS09ABGN, WIS09AB\yGN2, WIS10ABGN), wh\yich you connect to \yyour TV’s back or side pane\yl USB jack\b See the \yillustration 
    below\b
    Samsung’s Wireless LAN adapter i\ys sold separately a\ynd is o\f\fered by select retailers, Ecommerce sites and Samsun\ygparts\b
    com\b Samsung’s Wireless LAN adapter s\yupports the IEEE 802\b\y11A/B/G and N commu\ynication protocols\b Samsung 
    recommends using IEEE \y802\b11N\b When you pl\yay the video over a\y IEEE 802\b11B/G conne\yction, the video ma\yy not play 
    smoothly\b
     
    ✎NOTE
     
    xYou must use the “Samsung Wireless L AN Adapter” (WIS09ABGN, WIS09ABGN2, WIS10ABGN) to use a wireless 
    network\b 
     
    xSamsung’s Wireless L AN Adapter is sold separately\b The Samsung Wireless L AN Adapter is o\f\fered by select 
    retailers, Ecommerce sites and Samsungparts\bcom\b 
     
    xTo use a wireless network, your T V must be connected to a wireless IP sharer\b I\f the wireless IP sharer supports 
    DHCP, your T V can use a DHCP or static IP address to connect to the wireless network\b 
     
    xSelect a channel \for the wireless IP sharer that is not currently being used\b I\f the channel set \for the wireless IP sharer 
    is currently being used by another device nearby, this will result in inter\ference and communication \failure\b

    This \function is av\yailable in APs (Ac\ycess Points) that \ysupport 
    Samsung Auto Configu\yration\b I\f your AP d\yoes not, you can 
    connect through PB\b	(WPS), auto, or manuall\yy\b
     
    ✎This \function is available when SWL(Samsung	
    Wireless	Link) is set to Off \b
     
    ✎You can check \for equipment that supports Samsung 
    Auto Con\figuration on www\bsamsung\bcom\b
    How	to	set	up	using	Samsung	Auto	\bonfiguration
    1.	 Place the AP and TV\y next to each othe\yr and turn them 
    on\b
     
    ✎Because the booting times o\f applications di\f\fer, 
    you may have to wait \for approximately 2 minutes\b
     
    ✎I\f the L AN cable connected the WAN port o\f AP 
    during Samsung Auto Con\figuration, you are able 
    to complete until internet connection test\b I\f you 
    do not connect, Samsung Auto Con\figuration will 
    check only device connecting o\f AP (Not check 
    internet)\b
    2.	 A\fter 2 minutes, co\ynnect the Samsung W\yireless LAN 
    Adapter to the TV\b When the Samsung \yWireless LAN 
    Adapter is establis\yhed, the pop-up win\ydow appears\b
    3.	 As soon as a conne\yction is establish\yed, place the AP in\y 
    parallel with the \ySamsung Wireless LAN Adapter g\yiving a 
    gap no larger than\y 25cm\b
    4.	Wait until the conn\yection is automati\ycally established\b 
     
    ✎I\f Samsung Auto Con\figuration does not connect 
    your T V to your AP, a pop-up window appears 
    on the screen noti\fying you o\f the \failure\b Reset 
    the AP, and then try again\b I\f the connection \fails 
    again, choose one o\f the other connection setup 
    methods, PBC (WPS), auto, or manual\b
    5.	 A\fter the connectio\yn is established, l\yocate the sharer at 
    the desired location\b
     
    ✎I\f the AP settings have been changed or it is the 
    \first time you use the new AP a\fter purchase, you 
    need to set up again beginning \from Step 1\b

    How	to	set	up	using	PB\b	(WPS)
    I\f your router has a PBC (W\yPS) button, \follow \ythese steps:
    1.	 Connect your TV to \ySamsung Wireless LAN Adapter a\ys 
    described in the pr\yevious section\b
    2.	 Turn on your TV, press the MENU button on your 
    remote, use the ▲ or ▼ button to select \ySetup, and 
    then press the ENTER

    3.	 Use the ▲ or ▼ button to select \yNetwork in the Setup 
    menu, and then press the ENTER

    4.	 On the Network screen, select Network	Type\b

    RETURN button to exit th\ye Network	Setup screen\b
    Network	Setup	(Auto)
    Most wireless networks hav\ye an optional secu\yrity system 
    that requires devices that acc\yess the network to\y transmit 
    an encrypted securi\yty code called an Ac\ycess or Security 
    Key\b The Security Ke\yy is based on a Pas\ys Phrase, typically\y 
    a word or a series o\f le\ytters and numbers o\y\f a specified 
    length you were asked to enter wh\yen you set up secur\yity \for 
    your wireless network\b I\f yo\yu use this method o\y\f setting up 
    the network connec\ytion, and have a Se\ycurity Key \for your \y
    wireless network, you \ywill have to enter\y the Pass Phrase 
    during the setup pr\yocess\b
    How	to	set	up	automatically
    To set up the wireless connection a\yutomatically, \follo\yw these 
    steps:
    1.	Follow Steps 1 through 6 in the “How\y to set up using 
    PBC (WPS)” (p\b 33)\b
    2.	 Press the ▼ button to select \yInternet	Protocol	Setup, 
    and then press the ENTER
    E button\b Press the ▲ or 
    ▼ button to select \yAuto, and then press the ENTERE 
    button\b
    3.	 Press the ▲ button to go to Select	a	Network, and 
    then press the ENTER
    E button\b The Network \function 
    searches \for available \ywireless networks\b Whe\yn done, it 
    displays a list o\f t\yhe available netwo\yrks\b
    4.	 In the list o\f netw\yorks, press the ▲ or ▼ button to select \y
    a network, and then\y press the ENTER
    E button\b
     
    ✎I\f the AP is set to Hidden (Invisible), you have 
    to select A\f\f	Network and enter the correct 
    Network	Name	(SSID) and Security	Key to 
    establish the connection\b 5.	
    I\f the Security/PIN \ypop-up appears, go\y to Step 6\b I\f the 
    Network Connecting\y Screen appears, go to\y Step 10\b
    6.	 Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select \ySecurity or PIN\b For 
    most home networks\y, you would select \ySecurity (\for 
    Security	Key)\b The Security Screen appears\b
    7.	 On the Security screen, enter your net\ywork’s Pass 
    Phrase\b 
     
    ✎You should be able to \find the Pass Phrase on 
    one o\f the set up screens you used to set up your 
    router or modem\b
    8.	 To enter the Pass P\yhrase, \follow these\y general 
    directions:
     
    – Press the number but\ytons on your remote to enter 
    numbers\b
     
    – Use the direction buttons on \yyour remote to move 
    \from button to butto\yn on the Security	Key screen\b
     
    – Press the Red button \yto change case or \ydisplay 
    symbols/characters\b\y
     
    – To a enter letter o\yr symbol, move to t\yhe letter or 
    symbol, and then pr\yess the ENTER
    E button\b
     
    – To delete the last l\yetter or number you\y entered, press 
    the Green button on your \yremote\b
    9.	 When done, press the Blue butto\yn on your remote\b The 
    Network Connecting\y screen appears\b
    10.	 Wait until the conn\yection confirmation\y message is 
    displayed, and then \ypress the ENTER

    1.	 Follow Steps 1 through 6 in the “How\y to set up using

    2.	 Choose Select	a	Network\b A list o\f devices/\ynetworks 
    appears\b 
    3.	 While in the device\y list, press the Blue butto\yn on the 
    remote\b
     
    ✎The message A\f-hoc	is	a	\firect	Wi-Fi	
    connection	with	cell	phone	or	P\b. The	existing	
    network	system	may	have	limite\f	functionality.	
    Do	you	want	to	change	the	network

    4.	 Input the generate\yd Network	Name	(SSID) and 
    Security	Key into the device yo\yu want to connect\b
    How	to	connect	an	existing	A\f-hoc	\fevice
    1.	 Follow Steps 1 through 6 in the “How\y to set up using 
    PBC (WPS)” (p\b 33)\b \y
    2.	 Choose Select	a	Network\b The Device/Networ\yk list 
    appears\b 
    3.	 Select the device yo\yu want in the Devi\yce list\b 
    4.	 I\f security key is r\yequired, input the secur\yity key\b

    the Network	Name	(SSID) and Security	Key

    10.	 Go to Step 4 in the\y “How to set up au\ytomatically” (p\b 
    34), and \follow the\y directions \from that point on\b

    This \function lets \yyou connect a Samsu\yng device that 
    supports the PBC (WPS) to your TV\b You can connect 
    devices to the TV e\yven i\f a sharer is not connecte\yd to the TV\b
     
    ✎To use the Internet@T V, the AP (access point) must be 
    connected to the wireless network\b
     
    ✎I\f a Samsung Wireless L AN Adapter is connected to the 
    USB	2 port, the network may not operate normally\b We 
    recommend to connecting it to the USB	1	(HDD) port\b
     
    ✎Only sharers using the 2\b4 Ghz band are supported\b 
    Sharers using the 5 Ghz band are not supported\b

    You can directly connect a dev\yice that supports \ythe PBC 
    (WPS) to the TV\b
     
    ✎This \function is available when SWL(Samsung	
    Wireless	Link) is set to On \b
    How	to	connect	Samsung	Wireless	Link
    For the procedures to establish a \yconnection, re\fer to the 
    \following:
    1.	 Follow Steps 1 through 5 in the “How\y to set up using 
    PBC (WPS)” (p\b 33)\b
    2.	 Select SWL(Samsung	Wireless	Link) by using the ▼ 
    button and press the ENTER
    E button to turn it On\b
    3.	 Select SWL	connect by using the ▼ button and press 
    the ENTER
    E button\b
    4.	 I\f the “Press	the	PB\b	button	on	the	PB\b(WPS)	
    supporte\f	\fevice	to	connect	within	120	secon\fs.” 
    message appears, p\yress the PBC button\y on the device 
    to connect\b
     
    ✎For more in\formation, re\fer to the wireless network 
    setup manual o\f the device to be connected\b 
    5.	 I\f the device is co\ynnected properly to the TV a\f\yter 
    starting count on \ymessage box then m\yessage box will 
    be disappeared automatically\b
     
    ✎I\f the connection \fails, please retry a\fter 2 minutes\b
    If	Your	TV	Fails	to	\bonnect	to	the	Internet
    Your TV may not be a\yble to connect to \ythe Internet because 
    your ISP has perman\yently registered the MAC address (a 
    unique identi\fying n\yumber) o\f your PC o\yr modem, which it 
    then authenticates\y each time you conn\yect to the Internet as 
    a way o\f preventing unauthori\yzed access\b As your \yTV has 
    a di\f\ferent MAC address, your ISP can n\yot authenticate it\ys 
    MAC address, and your TV ca\yn not connect\b
    To resolve this problem, ask your ISP\y about the procedures 
    required to connect devic\yes other than a PC\y (such as your 
    TV) to the Internet\b
    I\f your Internet service provider requires an ID or passwo\yrd 
    to connect to the \yInternet, your TV may no\yt be able to 
    connect to the Int\yernet\b I\f this is the\y case, you must ent\yer 
    your ID or password when connecting t\yo the Internet\b
    The internet connection may \y\fail because o\f a fi\yrewall 
    problem\b I\f this is t\yhe case, contact yo\yur Internet service 
    provider\b 
    I\f you cannot conne\yct to the Internet even a\fter you \yhave 
    \followed the procedures o\f your Internet service provider,

    2.	 Using a LAN cable,\y connect between t\yhe external modem and the P\yC onto which the Sa\ymsung PC Share Manager

    Using	the	Timeshift	Mo\fe	function	t
    I\f you missed a live\y broadcast, you can se\ye \from the recorded broadcast using this \y\feature\b
    When the Timeshift	Mo\fe is set to Auto, the TV stores the channel you \ywatch currently to record automatically\b
    When the Timeshift	Mo\fe is set to Manual, i\f you press the 
    � (Play) button, the\y TV stores the channel \from the point o\f 
    view you want to record\b
     
    ✎NOTE
     
    xRecorded videos are DRM (digital rights management) protected and cannot be played on a PC or other T Vs, nor can 
    they be played when the main board o\f the T V is changed\b
     
    xData broadcasts cannot be recorded\b
     
    xThe availability o\f both recording and the Timeshift	Mo\fe \function may di\f\fer depending on picture quality and the 
    \free space on the hard disk drive\b
