    DEFINITY LAN Gateway System
The DEFINITY LAN Gateway lets DEFINITY exc hang e messag es with LAN
c ommunic ations software. The DEFINITY LAN Gateway system is used in display
set mod e only, not in c ontrol link. Use it with the R8r, R8si, or R8c si. Refer to the
DEFINITY Communic ations System Generic 3 Installation, Ad ministration and
Maintenanc e of CallVisor ASAI over the DEFINITY LAN Gateway for c omplete
    installation p roc ed ures.
    Use the add subscribers
command during administration, to prevent a no port
    available
error. When ad ministration is c omp lete, enter reset system reboot
     to
    c lear all alarms.
    Installing DEFINITY LAN Gateway in
    a Single-Carrier Cabinet
The DEFINITY LAN Gateway system installs in five ad jac ent slots, p referab ly the
five rig htmost slots in a Sing le-Carrier Cab inet. See Fi g u re 2 5
    .
    !CAUTION:
Do not p ower up the DEFINITY LAN Gateway System until instruc ted to d o
so. Refer to the DEFINITY Communic ations System Generic 3 Installation,
