6.8 Access Numbers6 Di1611/Di2011 6-23 Advanced Copy Operations Chapter 6 6.8 Access Numbers If access number have been specified, use of the machine can be limited to a specific user and the number of copies for each user can be controlled. As an example, the following procedure describes how to enter the access number in order to make copies. ✎ Note If access numbers have been specified, the machine cannot be used unless the access number is entered first. In order to use this function, the access numbers must be specified with the “COPY TRACK” function from the “ADMIN. MANAGEMENT” menu (“To turn on/ off user (section) management” on page 7-30). To enter an access number 1Using the 10-Key Pad, enter the 3- digit account (section) access number. ❍If you wish to correct the entered access number, press the [No] key, and then enter the correct number. 2Press the [Access] key. 7.2 Specifying Machine Settings (“MACHINE SETTING” Menu)7 Di1611/Di2011 7-5 Utility Mode – Copy Functions Chapter 7 7.2 Specifying Machine Settings (“MACHINE SETTING” Menu) From the “MACHINE SETTING” menu, the following machine settings can be changed. “MACHINE SETTING” menu: No.MACHINE SETTINGDescription 1 AUTO PANEL RESET This function can be used to set the length of time until the auto panel reset operation is performed after copying or the last operation is finished. When the auto panel reset operation is performed, the main screen is automatically displayed. The manufacturer’s default setting is 1 min. 2 ENERGY SAVE MODE This function can be used to set the length of time that the machine is idle before it enters Energy Saver mode. The manufacturer’s default setting is 15 min. 3 AUTO SHUT OFF This function can be used to set the length of time until the machine automatically turns off after the last operation is finished. The manufacturer’s default setting is “OFF”. 4 DENSITY (ADF) This function is used to specify the density level when the optional Document Feeder is used. Mode 1: For printing lighter copies of dark documents to avoid darkening of copies. Mode 2: For printing copies with same density as documents. The manufacturer’s default setting is “MODE1”. 5 DENSITY (BOOK) This function is used to specify the density level when a document is placed on the Original Glass and copied. Mode 1: For printing copies with same density as documents. Mode 2: For printing lighter copies of dark documents to avoid darkening of copies. The manufacturer’s default setting is “MODE1”. 6 PRINT DENSITY The print density can be set to one of five settings. The manufacturer’s default setting is . 7 LCD CONTRAST This function can be used to adjust the contrast of the Control Panel display.
