When printing a test page, a dialog box will appear after printing. Click [OK] to close the dialog box. NOTE If the [Digital Signature Not Found] dialog box appears, click [Yes]. 16If the printer and computer are not connected, turn the computer off, connect the computer and printer with a USB cable, and then turn them ON. The installation of the printer driver is completed.

Then, double-click [Add Printer]. The [Add Printer Wizard] dialog box is displayed. NOTE The [Add Printer Wizard] dialog box can also be displayed using the following procedure: -Double-click [My Computer] ➞ [Control Panel] ➞ [Printers] ➞ [Add Printer] (For Windows Me). -Double-click [My Computer] ➞ [Printers] ➞ [Add Printer] (For Windows 98). 2Click [Next]. 3Select [Local printer], then click [Next]. NOTE This screen does not appear when the network settings have not been configured.

If CD-ROM Setup appears, click [Exit]. 6Select [D:\English\Win98_Me], then click [OK]. The CD-ROM drive name is indicated as D: in this manual. The CD-ROM drive name may differ depending on the computer you are using.

For example, when your CD-ROM drive is drive [D:], it is displayed as [D:\English\Win98_Me]. 8Select the name of this printer for [Printers], then click [Next]. 9Select the USB port for connecting this printer, and then click [Next].

NOTE If another printer driver has already been installed in the computer, the message appears. In this case, select [Yes] or [No]. 11Click [Finish]. Copying files is started. 12When the dialog box for completing the installation appears, click [OK]. 13If the printer and computer are not connected, turn the computer off, connect the computer and printer with a USB cable, and then turn them ON. For Windows Vista •The icon for the printer is displayed in the [Printers] folder. •[Canon Printer Uninstaller] is added to [All Programs] under the [Start] menu. •If the manuals are installed, [LBP3500 Online Manuals] is created on the desktop, and [LBP3500 Online Manuals] under [Canon LBP3500] is added to [All Programs] under the [Start] menu.

Configuration Page Print prints the optional settings of the printer and printer status such as [Number of Total Printed Pages]. NOTE •Configuration Page Print is designed to be printed on A4 size paper. Load A4 size paper. •The screen shots used in this section are from Windows XP Professional. 1Display the [Printers and Faxes] folder or the [Printers] folder.
