Using AT&TSet AT&TSet Menu Bar Options AT&TSet provides the following options in the menu bar: n File n Programming n Help This section describes the options contained in each AT&TSet menu. File The File menu contains the following options: n New n Open... n Save n Save As... n Convert to n Write to Telephone... n Read from Telephone... n Print setup... n Print Labels... n Print Speed Dial List.. n Exit 5-44
Using AT&TSet New Enables you to create a new AT&TSet file for MLS-6, MLC-6, MLS-12, MLS- 12D, MLS-18D, MLS-34D, or standard telephones. When selected, this option presents the current programming of your telephone. If you selected a telephone type that has more buttons than your telephone, you will notice additional blanks buttons in the new file. If you select a telephone type that has fewer buttons than your telephone, you will notice that some buttons were deleted. The window title displays AT&TSet for PARTNER-[UNTITLED.SET]. Open... Enables you to open an existing AT&TSet file. When selected, this option lists the existing AT&TSet files. You may scroll through the list and select a specific file. Save Saves the changes made to the AT&TSet file on which you are working. Save As... Prompts you to name the file on which you are working. The default extension for every AT&TSet filename is set. Convert to Converts the currently displayed AT&TSet file to a system or standard telephone AT&TSet file. Write to Telephone... Enables you to program the button features, Extension Name (if available), and Personal Speed Dial List in your current file to your telephone. The System Manager can also write Automatic Line Selection and the System Speed Dial List. Only the selected items will be programmed to the telephone. 5-45
Using AT&TSet Read from Telephone... Accesses and displays the current programming of your telephone. Print Setup... Displays the Windows printer setup window, enabling you to modify the printer settings (for example, printer type). Print Labels... Prints the features programmed on the buttons in a format that is consistent with the set labels. Print Speed Dial List... Prints the number to be dialed and the associated label for each speed dial code programmed. Exit Closes the AT&TSet application. 5-46
Using AT&TSet Programming The Programming menu contains the following options: n n n n n n n n n n n nButton Information... Change Button Programming... Change Button Label... Extension Name... Personal Speed Dial List... System Speed Dial List.. Automatic Line Selection... Use Button When Programming Phone Skip Button When Programming Phone Use All Buttons Skip All Buttons Program Another Extension... Button Information... Displays the current programming of the selected button, and also enables you to change the programming and label of the button. Change Button Programming... Enables you to program a new button or reprogram a currently programmed button. 5-47
Using AT&TSet Change Button Label... Enables you to change the label for a button. Extension Name... Enables you to program the Extension Name for the extension. This option can only be used on PARTNER II Release 3.1 and PARTNER PLUS Release 3.1 systems. However, you can have the Extension Name for the print out of labels for other releases. Personal Speed Dial List... Enables you to program your Personal Speed Dial List. Personal Speed Dial Lists are not available on PARTNER Release 3.0. System Speed Dial List... Enables you to program the System Speed Dial List. This option is only available at system administration extensions while they are programming their own telephones. Automatic Line Selection... Enables you to set the Automatic Line Selection for an extension. Automatic Line Selection determines the order in which users will be connected to idle lines when they lift the handset or press the speaker button of their phones. This option is only available at system administration extensions. Use Button When Programming Phone Instructs the system to program the selected button in the file to the associated button on the telephone when the Write to Telephone option is selected from the File menu. 5-48
Using AT&TSet Skip Button When Programming Phone Instructs the system not to program the selected button in the file to the associated button on the telephone when the Write to Telephone option is selected from the File menu. Use All Buttons Instructs the system to program all of the buttons in the file to the associated buttons on the telephone when the Write to Telephone option is selected from the File menu. Skip All Buttons Instructs the system not to program any of the buttons in the file to the associated buttons on the telephone when the Write to Telephone option is selected from the File menu. Program Another Extension... Enables you to program another users extension. This option is only available at system administration extensions. 5-49

Contents Displays the topics in on-line Help. Search for Help on... Opens the Search dialog box for on-line Help. You can look up Help information by entering keywords in the dialog box. Using Log Viewer What Is Log Viewer? Log Viewer is an application that enables you to view entries that are stored in the PassageWay call log. The call log stores a record entry of the following calls: n nEvery call you make from the Dial buttons of a card or Quick Dials in an AT&TCall file. The call log does not store entries of calls you make from your telephone directly or from the Dialpad window in AT&TCall. All incoming calls or only the incoming calls you answered (depending on how you set the Call Logging option in the Options dialog box in AT&TBuzz). The call log only stores entries of calls that arrive while AT&TBuzz is running. Figure 6-1 shows the Log Viewer window. 6-2
Using Log Viewer Figure 6-1. Log Viewer Window The call log can store a maximum of 8,000 entries. When this maximum is reached, the oldest call entry (that is, entry 1) is overwritten by the newest entry (that is, entry 8001 ). Each call log entry consists of the following components: n n nthe primary and secondary labels of the card associated with the call. (For incoming calls, you only get this information if AT&TBuzz is running in Match to AT&TCall File mode, and a match exists between the Caller ID and an AT&TCall file card.) the account code associated with the call the telephone number associated with the call (that is, the dialed number for outgoing calls and the Caller ID, if available, for incoming calls). 6-3
