Introduction and Overview
The Phaser 3010, 3040 and WorkCentre 3045B/N incorporate a single-pass LED 
architecture, offering mono print speeds of up to 24/24-ppm, and resolutions up to 
1200 x 1200 dots-per-inch (dpi).
The Phaser 3010/3040 provides a 150-sheet Main Tray supporting specialty 
media, card stock, and envelopes. The Output Tray holds 100 sheets facedown.
The WorkCentre 3045B/N combines a 1200 dpi scanner with LED printer to 
provide copy, scan and print functions. The 3045NI model adds an Automatic 
Document Feeder (ADF), G3 Fax modem, Ethernet interface and wireless capability 
to provide networked copy, scan, and Fax functions.
Technical Support Information
The Xerox Service Manual is the primary document used for repairing, 
maintaining, and troubleshooting the printer. To ensure complete understanding 
of this product, participation in Xerox Service Training is strongly recommended. To 
service this product, certification for this product is required.

Control Panel
The Control Panel consists of multiple LEDs, a display, and several function 
buttons. These buttons are used to navigate the menu system, perform functions, 
and select modes of operation.

3045B Control Panel Button Descriptions
1.■Copy
■Scan
■PrintUse these buttons to move to the top of each menu.
2. Navigation/Menu 
select buttons (5)Scroll up, down, forward, and back through the menus. 
Use the OK button to select a current setting/confirm 
current selection.
3. System Switches the display to the System menus.
4. Alpha Numeric 
Keypad (12)Input and delete letters and numbers.
5. Wake Up / Energy 
Saver buttonWhen illuminated, indicates Low Power Mode.
Press to move to Ready from Energy Saver mode.
6. Clear All AC 
buttonPress to the top menu of each service (Copy, Scan…). 
Then, each setting becomes default for each service.
7. Stop button Stops the current job.
8. Start button Starts the current job.
9. Data LED
Error LEDIndicates status – power and ready-to-print.
When illuminated, indicates an error.
10. C l e a r button Clears all text, numbers or instructions. 
11. Back button Move back to previous screen.
