     *1
The minimum size for scanning is A8 when using the ADF. When using the F\
latbed (fi-6230 only) to scan the minimum
    scanning range is virtually unlimited.
     *2
If you specify a long page which is 864 mm or longer, you must specify\
a resolution of 200 dpi or less.

    *3
The documents thicknesses noted are for when using the ADF. When using \
the Flatbed to scan the documents
    thickness is unlimited.
    For details, see Chapter
    7 ADF AND PAPER SPECIFICATION.
     *4
The scanning speed is the maximum speed of the scanner hardware. Softwar\
e processing time such as data transfer
time is added to the actual scanning time.
     *5
The maximum stacking capacity varies according to the document thickness\
. For details, see Chapter 7 ADF AND
    PAPER SPECIFICATION.

    *6
At a high resolution of 600 dpi or more, scanning may be disabled depend\
ing on the scan mode, the size of documents,
and/or memory capacity of your computer.

    *7
If you connect the scanner with USB 2.0, it is required that the USB por\
t and the Hub are compliant with USB 2.0. The
scanning speed may slow down when you connect the scanner with USB 1.1. \
If your omputer has the compatible USB
    2.0 port, please use it.

    *8
By using the Imprinter, a character string, such as the alphabet and num\
bers, can be printed in the scanned
document. It helps you to organize your documents by printing a name, da\
te, time or a serial number on the scanned
    document.
     *9
An option that replaces the standard document cover (with a white pad)\
provided with the scanner, and can be used
for scanning documents in black background when loading from the Flatbed\
