    3. Log into the
    emaGEN Web Controller
    with a valid administrator mailbox:
     the default mailbox is 100
     the password is 0000.
At the start of each session you may specify the session timeout (de-
fault is 15 minutes). The session timeout is the amount of time the
    connection to the
emaGEN server will be open. This time is the
elapsed time since the last activity to the server (any time you press
the command buttons is considered an activity). If you try to make an
operation after the timeout has expired, the system will take you to a
    login page.
    NOTE
emaGEN was tested with Microsoft Inter-
net Explorer and Netscape browsers, with
Java Script Enabled. Other browsers may
    not necessarily work as expected.
    6.4 NAVIGATING THE SYSTEM
The emaGEN controller is a web-based application, and uses all
    the familiar conventions.
    NOTE
One essential rule to remember is:
The information is not saved into the data-
base, until you click the SAVE icon.

7.4 PARAMETERS ON THE SITE --> SETTINGS SCREEN
emaGEN has a built-in call queuing feature. When the auto-atten-
dant detects a busy event from an extension, it can be set to allow
the caller to be placed on hold, in a queue.
    emaGEN will arrange all
incoming calls to this extension in a queue, and will let each caller
know their position in the queue. The system will try transferring the
caller to the extension after a defined period, while holding the call,
with full transfer supervision. If the extension is still busy, the system
will announce to the caller their position in the queue. While holding,
emaGEN can play promotional announcements to the caller (refer
to Chapter 16 – Voice Prompts).
The following parameters needs to be set, on the Site --> Settings
    screen, to activate this feature:

    Maximum Ports on Hold Allowed
This field determines the total number of ports in the system that are
    allowed to be placed on
    emaGEN hold simultaneously. This
amount is the MAXIMUM regardless of the amount allowed in a
    given mailbox.
    Time Interval Between Busy
This field controls the timer that determines how often
    emaGEN
checks a held call to see if the called partys extension is still busy.
This time is used in conjunction with the next field.
    NOTE
This function is only valid for FULL transfer
    supervision.
    Max Retries on Busy
This field determines the number of times the caller can be prompted
to remain in the queue, while the extension is busy. When this max-
imum is reached, the caller may no longer hold, rather the caller may
leave a message or be transferred to a different mailbox.

    supervision.
