76-110-0887/0, Issue 1 7-8 7.6 SECURITY PARAMETERS ON THE SITE --> SETTINGS SCREEN Administrator Password This number is required for access to all System Administrator func- tions. The password can contain up to 4 digits. Mailbox This field tells emaGEN how many digits make up a valid mailbox number. This value is used to determine if a caller has dialed a mail- box number or a conversion table digit. Extension Length This field determines the emaGEN PBX extension numbers length. Password Length This field determines how many digits are allowed for a mailbox us- ers password . 7.7 GREETING HOURS PARAMETERS ON THE SITE --> SETTINGS SCREEN emaGEN announces Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening depending on the time of day. There can occur a situation in which the time greeting is “Good morning” yet the department greeting still indicates that the office is closed (night mode - set in department definition) - e.g. 05:00 AM. 7.8 HOUSEKEEPING PARAMETERS ON THE SITE --> SETTINGS SCREEN emaGEN has a house keeping mechanism, which cleans old mes- sages, according to parameters defined in class of service. Day This field entry determines on which day the house keeping will be performed. Time Enter the time of day the housekeeping activity is to begin. This time should be at a no/low traffic period. Typically this is between mid- night and 6 A.M. Purge reports Enter the number of months after which the system will delete old report data. Legal values:12:00 to 11:59 / AM / PM Default:Morning - 12:00 AM, Afternoon - 12:00 PM, Evening - 05:00 PM Action:Select from the drop box. 76-110-0887/0, Issue 1 7-10 7.9 SYSTEM PARAMETERS ON THE SITE --> SETTINGS SCREEN System Time Out This is the duration of the time period after playing a system prompt that emaGEN gives the caller to key in the desired number of an ex- tension. If no input is received during this time period, emaGEN continues on to the relevant NO-RESPONSE action. Recommended duration: 3 to 6 seconds. Script Time Out Script: This is the duration of the time period after playing a script menu that emaGEN gives the caller to key in the desired number or extension. If no input is received during this time period, emaGEN continues on to the relevant ERR line for more actions. Recommended duration: 6 seconds. Conversion Table Time Out This field sets the inter-digit time-out for the conversion table. The recommended time is 2000 msec. The entry should not be less than 800 msec. Weekdays Definition This field determines what days emaGEN is to consider as a Week- day. Any day not entered here will be considered to be Weekend day. Legal values:1-12 seconds Default:4 seconds Action:Select duration from the drop box. Legal values:1-12 seconds Default:5 seconds Action:Select duration from the drop box. Section 7: SITE 7-11 Page Wait This field determines the duration (in seconds) of the paging feature. This is the time a caller can wait on the line while emaGEN is paging a subscriber. If the subscriber has not contacted the system within this amount of time, the caller is prompted that the subscriber is not available. 7.10 CALL OUT PARAMETERS ON THE SITE --> SETTINGS SCREEN When emaGEN performs a Call Out, such as wake-up call, remote message notification, etc., it dials out on outside trunk circuits. There are two different results that emaGEN may receive other than an answered call. Busy This field controls the time interval between Call Out attempts for a Busy condition. No Answer This field controls the time interval between Call Out attempts for a No Answer condition. Action:Check all days to be considered weekdays. Legal values:1 to 9999 sec Default:Blank Action:Enter the desired time duration. Legal values:1 to 999 minutes Default:3 Action:Enter desired number of minutes to wait be- fore retry. 76-110-0887/0, Issue 1 7-12 7.11 PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT PARAMETERS Figure 7-3 Site --> Public Announcement screen emaGEN has the ability to activate the public announcement (PA) feature of the PBX. This allows the following emaGEN features: First, if a mailbox owner is away from his/her phone, he/she can be paged within the location and receive their calls at a phone else- where in the building. Second, emaGEN can be programmed to make up to eight special pre recorded announcements to be played back at specific times and days. Number This is the ID number for the available schedule assignments. Prompt This is the prompt number that you record for a specific schedule an- nouncement. NOTE These prompts are hard-coded and may not be changed. Legal values:1 to 8 Default:1 to 8 Action:None. Legal values:See Action, below. Default:151 to 158 Action:Record the appropriate prompts using the To Record A Prompt option in the System Administrator menu.
Section 7: SITE 7-13 Day This field determines the day(s) on which a scheduled PA announce- ment will be made. P. A . T i m e This field sets the time for a scheduled announcement to be made . P.A. Zone This determines the P.A. zone access code to which an announce- ment is directed. When the internal calendar matches one of these dates, the appropriate holiday greeting will be broadcast to the caller. The appropriate operation mode defined in the Holiday Operation Mode field in Department Definition will become active as well. After the holiday message is played, the defined department greetings will begin. Holiday name This is the ID number for the available schedule assignments. Date This field determines the date of the related holiday. Prompt This is the prompt number to record for this particular holiday. Name These are the names for the holidays. Legal values:1-16 characters Default:None Action:None Legal values:MM/DD Default:00/00 Action:Enter the desired month and day for this schedule number or select a day from the se- lection calendar. Legal values:170-185 Default:None Action:Record the appropriate prompts using the To Record A Prompt option in the Adminis- trators menu. Legal values:1-20 Default:None Action:Enter the holiday name.
Section 7: SITE 7-15 7.13 CID ROUTING Figure 7-5 Site --> CID Routing screen The CID Routing table allows you to route calls based on the caller ID information. You can use a complete number or a partial number (which includes only the area code, or area code + exchange). You can bind each number in this table with a specific mailbox (which can also be a lead number for an ACD group or a script mailbox). You can also specify the type of action to be taken with this number. For example, you can define specific numbers to always be trans- ferred to a mailbox to take a message, and other to be transferred to a live extension. To add new numbers to this list: Click the NEW button. To remove numbers from the list: 1. Check the REMOVE box. 2. Click SAVE. The CID routing table is used in conjunction with the Script opcode CID Routing.
