    4. Using the Viewer\u
    •  MOVIE SETTING
    Sets	the	\bunctions	\bo\f	a	movie	file.
    Name OptionsDesc\fiption
    SCREEN	SIZE BEST	FITDisplays	the	image	 with	its	aspect	 \fatio	in	the	 p\fojecto\f’s	 display-
    able	maximum	\fesolution.
    ACTUAL	SIZE Displays	the	image	in	its	actual	size.
    REPEAT OFFTu\fns	on	o\f	o\b\b	the	\fepeat	\bunction.
    ONE	REPEAT Repeats	one	file	only.
    ALL	REPEAT Repeats	all	files	in	the	cu\f\fent	\bolde\f.
    TIP
    •  Turning \bn [REPEAT] will display bla\yck screen during in\ytermissi\bn between \ym\b\fies.
    • AUTO PLAY SETTING
    Sets	 auto	play	\bo\f	slideshow	 when	a	USB	 memo\fy	 device	is	inse\fted	 into	the	USB	 po\ft	o\b	the	 p\fojecto\f,	 o\f	when	
    [VIEWER]	is	selected	\bo\f	[SOURCE].

    TIP
    •  Aut\b  play  beha\fi\br  is  different  between  when  a  USB  mem\bry  de\fice  is  inserted  int\b  the  USB  p\brt  \bf  the  pr\bject\br  and  when 
    [VIEWER] is select\yed f\br [SOURCE].
    •  Aut\b play starts f\br the first f\bund file supp\brting the file type set up f\br Aut\b Play. The file will be searched in the dri\fe r\b\bt \br 
    l\bwer le\fel. 
    •  When [VIEWER] is selected f\br [SOURCE], the last selected file will be aut\bmatically played if it is f\bund, \br the last selected f\blder 
    will be searched and the first \yf\bund file will be a\yut\bmatically played.\y

    •  SORT SETTING
    Sets	the	o\fde\f	o\b	displaying	thumbnails	o\f	slides.

    SORT NAME	(ABC..)Displays	the	files	alphabetically	by	name	in	ascending	o\fde\f.
    NAME	(ZYX..) Displays	the	files	alphabetically	by	name	in	descending	o\fde\f.
    EXT. 	(ABC..) Displays	the	files	 alphabetically	 by	extension	 in	ascending	 o\fde\f.
    EXT. 	(ZYX..) Displays	the 	files 	alphabetically 	by 	extension 	in 	descending 	o\fde\f.
    DATE	(NEW) Displays	the	files	in	\feve\fse	ch\fonological	o\fde\f.
    DATE	(OLD) Displays	the	files	in	ch\fonological	o\fde\f.
    SIZE	(BIG) Displays	the	files	in	descending	o\fde\f	o\b	its	file	size.
    SIZE	(SMALL) Displays	the	files	in	ascending	o\fde\f	o\b	its	file	size.

    Fo\f	p\fojecto\f:
    	Connect	the	p\fojecto\f	to	the	netwo\fk.
    Fo\f	 compute\f: 	Place	 files	to	be	 p\fojected	 in	a	sha\fed	 \bolde\f	and	note	 the	\bolde\f’s	 path.	Memo\fize	 o\f	w\fite	 down	 the	
    path	\bo\f	late\f	use.
    •	 Fo\f	sha\fing	a	\bolde\f,	\fe\be\f	to	you\f	use\f	guide	o\f	help	file	accompanied	with	you\f	 Windows	compute\f.
    •	 Use	a	keyboa\fd	to	give	a	name	to	the	sha\fed	\bolde\f	in	alphanume\fic	cha\facte\fs.
    •	 To	 connect	 the	sha\fed	 \bolde\f	beyond	 the	subnet,	 set	[WINS	 CONFIGURATION]	 in	[NETWORK	 SETTINGS]	\b\fom	
    the	menu.
    •	 Digital	signatu\fe	(SMB	signatu\fe)	is	not	suppo\fted.
    Connecting the \frojector to the sha\ured folder 
    1.	 Press	the	 Viewer	\button	on	the	re\fote	control.
      The drive list wi\bdow will be displayed.
    • A\bother way to start the VIEWER is to press the I\bput butto\b a few times o\b the proje\ftor \fabi\bet. (→ page  16)

    2.	 Displays	the	[OPTIONS]	\fenu.
     Press the  butto\b to sele\ft the 
     (OPTIONS) i\fo\b a\bd p\eress the E\bter butto\b.
    • Whe\b the OPTIONS me\bu \eis displayed, the drive list will\e \bot be displayed.
    3.	 Display	the	[SHARED	FOLDER]	screen.
      Press the  butto\b to sele\ft the (SHARED\e FOLDER) i\fo\b a\bd press the E\bter butto\b.
    4.	 Select	a	folder	nu\f\ber	and	place	to	ena\ble	it.
     Press the   or  butto\b to a shared folder \bumber a\bd press the   butto\b to sele\ft [ENABLE] , a\bd the\b press 
    the E\bter butto\b.
    5.	 Enter	the	path, 	user	na\fe,	and	password	for	the	shared	folder.
      Press the  butto\b to sele\ft the [SHARED\e FOLDER] field. The software keyboard will be displayed.
      For usi\bg the software keyboard, see page 128.
    • If your \fomputer is \bot password prote\fted, e\bteri\bg a password is \bot required.
    •  Up to four shared folders \fa\b be added.
    •  The maximum le\bgth of a path of the shared folder must be 15 alpha\bumeri\f \fhara\fters for \fomputer \bame 
    a\bd 23 alpha\bumeri\f \fhara\fters for folder \bame.

    6.	 Exit	the	setting.
     Press the  butto\b to sele\ft [OK] a\bd press the E\bter butto\b.
      This will \flose the [\eSHARED FOLDER] s\free\b.
    • If a\b error message appear, your setti\bgs are \bot \forre\ft. Try agai\b.

    Disconnecting the \ushared folder from the \frojector
    •	 Disa\ble	the	nu\f\ber	of	a	shared	folder	you	wish	to	disconnect
      Press the  butto\b to sele\ft [ENABLE] a\bd \epress the E\bter butto\b to \flear it.
    TIP: 
    • C\bnnecting settings \yf\br Shared f\blder 
      Settings \bf up t\b f\bu\yr f\blders can be sa\y\fed.
      Restarting the pr\bje\yct\br will display se\ytting-sa\fed shared \yf\blders in grey f\blder ic\bn \bn the\y dri\fe list screen.\y 
      Selecting the grey i\yc\bn f\blder will ski\yp entry f\br a f\blder path.\y
    •  Failing t\b c\bnnect w\yith a shared f\blder\y will display the f\y\blder ic\bn with “x” mark. If this h\yappen, check y\bur f\bl\yder setting.

    Fo\f	 compute\f: 	P\fepa\fe	 image	files	o\f	movie	 files	to	be	 p\fojected,	 and	set	up	“Media	 Sha\fing” 	in	 Windows	 Media	Playe\f	
    11	o\f	 Windows	Media	Playe\f	12.
    NOTE: 
    •  B\bth the pr\bject\br and the media ser\fer must be \bn the same subnet. C\bnnecting t\b the media ser\fer bey\bnd the subnet is n\bt 
    p\bssible.
    •  Types \bf images and m\y\b\fies which can be \yshared may \fary depending \bn Wind\bw\ys \fersi\bn.
    Setting u\f “Media S\uharing” in Windows \uMedia Player 11
    1.	 Start	 Windows	Media	Player	11.
    2.	 Select	 “Media	Sharing” 	fro\f	“Li\brary”.
     The “Media Shari\bg” dialog box will be displayed.

    3.	 Select	“Share	\fy	\fedia” 	check	\box,	and	then	select	OK. 	
     A list of a\f\fessible \edevi\fes will be displayed.
    4.	 Select	 “X6180N/WX6170N” 	and	then	“Allow”.
     A \fhe\fk mark will be added to the “X6180N/WX6170N” i\fo\b.
    • The “X6180N/WX6170N” is a proje\ftor \bame spe\fified i\b [NETWORK SETTINGS]. 
    5.	 Select	 “OK”.
     This will make pi\ftures a\bd video i\b “Library” available from the proje\ftor.

    Setting u\f “Media S\uharing” in Windows \uMedia Player 12
    1.	 Start	 Windows	Media	Player	12.
    2.	 Select	 “Strea\f”,	and	then	select	 “Auto\fatically	allow	devices	to	play	\fy	\fedia”.
     The “Allow All Media Devi\fes” wi\bdows will be displayed.
    3.	 Select	 “Auto\fatically	allow	all	co\fputers	and	\fedia	devices”.
     Graphi\fs a\bd movie files i\b “Library” \fa\b be used from the proje\ftor.

    Connecting the \frojector to the med\uia server
    P\fess	the	Viewe\f	button	on	the	\femote	cont\fol.
    The	 VIEWER	will	sta\ft.
    •	 Anothe\f	way	to	sta\ft	the	 VIEWER	is	to	p\fess	the	Input	button	a	\bew	times	on	the	p\fojecto\f	cabinet. 	(→	page	16)
    •	 This	 will	sta\ft	 sea\fching	 \bo\f	a	compute\f	 with	“media	 sha\fing” 	enabled	 in	the	 netwo\fk	 and	add	it	to	 the	 “Media	 se\fve\f”	
    o\b	the	thumbnail	sc\feen.
    	 Anothe\f	 way	to	do	 this	 is	to	 point	 the	cu\fso\f	 to	“Media	 se\fve\f”	and	 select	 [REFRESH]	 \b\fom	the	thumbnail	 menu	
    and	p\fess	the	Ente\f	button.
