28 3. Convenient Feat\uures 4 Changing Eco Mode/Checking Energy-Saving Effect Using Eco Mode [LAMP POWER] This \beatu\fe enables you to select two b\fightness modes o\b the lamp: STND. and ECO modes. The lamp li\be can be extended by tu\fning on the [LAMP POWER]. [LAMP POWER] Desc\fiption [STND.] This is the de\bault setting (100% B\fightness). [ECO] Low lamp powe\f consumption (app\fox. 80% B\fightness). To tu\fn on the [LAMP POWER], do the \bollowing: 1. Press the Eco \button on the re\fote control to display [LAMP POWER] screen. 2. Use the or \button to select [ECO]. 3. Press the Enter \button. To \fha\bge from [ECO] to [STND.], Go ba\fk to Step 2 a\bd sele\ft [STND.]. Repeat Step 3. NOTE: • The [LAMP POWER] ca\yn be changed by usi\yng the menu. Select [SETUP] → [BASIC] → [LAMP POWER]. • The lamp life remai\yning and lamp h\burs \yused can be checke\yd in [USAGE TIME]. \ySelect [INFO.] →[USAGE TIME]. • [LAMP POWER] is always set t\b [STND.] f\br 1 minute immediately after the lamp is turned \bn. The lamp c\bnditi\bn will n\bt be affected e\fen when \y[LAMP POWER] is cha\ynged. • After a lapse \bf 1 minute fr\bm when the pr\bject\br displays a blue, black \br l\bg\b screen, [LAMP POWER] will aut\bmatically switch t\b [ECO]. • If the pr\bject\br is \b\ferheated in [STND.] m\bde, there may be a case where the [LAMP POWER] aut\bmatically changes t\b [ECO] m\bde t\b pr\btect the pr\bject\br. This is called “F\brced ECO M\bde”. When the pr\bject\br is in the F\brced Ec\b M\bde, the picture brightness decreases slightly and the Temp. indicat\br lights \brange. At the same time the Therm\bmeter symb\bl [ ] is displayed at the b\btt\bm right \y\bf the screen. When the pr\bject\br c\bmes back t\b n\brmal temperature, the F\brced Ec\b M\bde is cancelled and the [LAMP POWER] returns t\b [STND.] m\bde. 2. Press the \button. The area of the mag\bified image will be moved 3. Press the Magnify (−) \button. Ea\fh time the Mag\bify (−) butto\b is pressed, the image is redu\fed. Convenient Feat\uures Checking Energy-Sav\uing Effect [CARBON METER]\u This \beatu\fe will show ene\fgy-saving e\b\bect in te\fms o\b CO2 emission \feduction (kg) when the p\fojecto\f’s [LAMP POWER] is set to [STND.], o\f [ECO]. This \beatu\fe is called as [CARBON METER]. The\fe a\fe two messages: [TOTAL CARBON SAVINGS] and [CARBON SAVINGS-SESSION]. The [TOTAL CARBON SAVINGS] message shows the total amount o\b CO 2 emission \feduction \b\fom the time o\b shipment up to now. You can check the in\bo\fmation on [USAGE TIME] \b\fom [INFO.] o\b the menu. (→ page 109) The [CARBON SAVINGS-SESSION] message shows the amount o\b CO2 emission \feduction between the time o\b changing to ECO MODE immediately a\bte\f the time o\b powe\f-on and the time o\b powe\f-o\b\b. The [CARBON SAVINGS- SESSION] message will be displayed in the [POWER OFF/ ARE YOU SURE ?] message at the time o\b powe\f-o\b\b. Cornerstone 1. Press and hold the Keystone \button for a \fini\fu\f of 2 seconds to reset current adjust\fents. Curre\bt adjustme\bts for [KEYSTONE] or [CORNERSTONE] will be \fleared. 2. Project an i\fage so that the screen is s\faller than the area of the raster. 3. Pick up any one of the corners and align the corner of the i\fage with a corner of the screen. Proje\fted image The drawi\bg shows the up- per right \for\ber. 4. Press the Keystone \button twice. The Cor\bersto\be adjustme\bt s\free\b is displayed. 5. 35 3. Convenient Feat\uures 7 Dis\flaying Two Pictures at the Same Tim\ue The p\fojecto\f has a \beatu\fe that allows you to view two di\b\be\fent signals simultaneously. You have two modes: PIP mode and PICTURE BY PICTURE mode. Fro\f the \fenu you can select [SETUP] → [BASIC] → [PIP/PICTURE BY PICTURE]. The [PIP/PICTURE BY PICTURE] menu item has the \bollowing th\fee options: MODE, POSITION, and PIP/PBP SOURCE. Use the o\f button to select [MODE], [POSITION] o\f [PIP/PBP SOURCE] and p\fess the Ente\f button. Selecting the PIP \uor PICTURE BY PICT\uURE Mode [MODE] This option allows you to select two modes: PIP and PICTURE BY PICTURE. Use the o\f button to select [PIP] o\f [PICTURE BY PICTURE] and p\fess the Ente\f button. PIP: This option allows you to view a sub pictu\fe in the main pictu\fe. Sub pi\fture Mai\b pit\fure PICTURE BY PICTURE: This allows you to view two pictu\fes side by side. Mai\b pi\fture Sub pi\fture NOTE: • The main picture wi\yll be displayed \bn t\yhe left side and t\yhe sub picture \bn t\yhe right side. • The main picture si\ygnal supp\brts the C\bm\yputer 1 In, C\bmputer\y 2 In, and C\bmputer\y 3 In c\bnnect\brs. Use the or \button to select the source and press the Enter \button. The PIP s\free\b or PICTURE BY PICTURE s\free\b will be displayed, depe\bdi\bg o\b whi\fh was sele\fted i\b the [MODE] setti\bg s\free\b. 3. Press the PIP \button again to return to the nor\fal screen (single picture). TIP: • Selecting an\bther s\y\burce will return t\b t\yhe n\brmal screen. • Selecting a s\burce n\bt supp\brted f\br \ythe main picture \br\y the sub picture wi\yll return t\b the n\b\yrmal screen. [POSITION] This option allows you to select the position o\b a sub pictu\fe in the main pictu\fe. NOTE: • The default settin\yg is [BOTTOM-RIGHT]\y. Use the o\f button to select the sub pictu\fe’s position and p\fess the Ente\f button. The options a\fe: TOP-LEFT, TOP-RIGHT, BOTTOM-LEFT, and BOTTOM-RIGHT. The \bollowing adjustments and settings a\fe available \bo\f the main pictu\fe only. - Adjusting pictu\fe and sound - Magni\bying a pictu\fe The \bollowing ope\fations a\fe available \bo\f both the main and sub pictu\fes. - Pictu\fe and audio mute - F\feezing a moving pictu\fe
37 3. Convenient Feat\uures 8 Preventing the Unauthorized Use of the Projector [SECURITY] A keywo\fd can be set \bo\f you\f p\fojecto\f using the Menu to avoid ope\fation by an unautho\fized use\f. When a keywo\fd is set, tu\fning on the p\fojecto\f will display the Keywo\fd input sc\feen. Unless the co\f\fect keywo\fd is ente\fed, the p\fojecto\f cannot p\foject an image. • The [SECURITY] setting cannot be cancelled by using the [RESET] o\b the menu. T\f enable the Secu\bity functi\fn: 1. Press the Menu \button. The me\bu will be displ\eayed. 2. Press the \button twice to select [SETUP] and press the \button or the Enter \button to select [BASIC]. 3. Press the \button to select [INSTALLATION(2)]. 4. Press the \button three ti\fes to select [SECURITY] and press the Enter \button. The OFF/ON me\bu will \ebe displayed. 5. Press the \button to select [ON] and press the Enter \button. The [SECURITY KEYWORD] s\free\b will be displayed. 6. Type in a co\f\bination of the four \buttons and press the Enter \button. NOTE: A keyw\brd must\y be 4 t\b 10 digits \yin length. The [CONFIRM KEYWORD] s\free\b will be displayed. NOTE: Make a n\bte \b\yf y\bur passw\brd and \yst\bre it in a safe \yplace.
