    I\b	this	happens,	do	the	\bollowing:
    -	 Unplug	the	powe\f	co\fd	\b\fom	the	powe\f	outlet.
    -	 I\b	using	in	a	place	whe\fe	the	su\f\founding	tempe\fatu\fe	is	high,	move	the	p\fojecto\f	to	a	di\b\be\fent,	cool	place.
    -	 I\b	the\fe	is	dust	in	the	ventilation	holes,	clean. 	(→	pages	152	and	155)
    -	 Wait	as	such	about	1	hou\f	\bo\f	the	p\fojecto\f’s	inte\fnal	tempe\fatu\fe	to	lowe\f.

    If there is no \ficture, or the \ficture is not dis\flayed \ucorrectly.

    	 Be	su\fe	to	connect	 the	p\fojecto\f	 and	notebook	 PC	while	 the	p\fojecto\f	 is	in	 standby	 mode	and	be\bo\fe	 tu\fning	 on	
    the	powe\f	to	the	notebook	PC.
    	 In	 most	cases	 the	output	 signal	\b\fom	the	notebook	 PC	is	not	 tu\fned	 on	unless	 connected	 to	the	 p\fojecto\f	 be\bo\fe	
    being	powe\fed	up.
    NOTE: Y\bu can check the h\briz\bntal frequency \bf the current signal in the pr\bject\br’s menu under Inf\brmati\bn. If it reads “0kHz”, 
    this means there i\ys n\b signal being \bu\ytput fr\bm the c\bmput\yer. (→ page 110 \br g\b t\b next step)
    •	 Enabling	the	compute\f’s	exte\fnal	display.
    	 Displaying	 an	image	 on	the	 notebook	 PC’s	sc\feen	 does	not	necessa\fily	 mean	it	outputs	 a	signal	 to	the	 p\fojecto\f. 	
    When	using	a	PC	compatible	laptop,	a	combination	o\b	\bunction	keys	will	enable/disable	the	exte\fnal	display. 	Usu-
    ally,	 the	combination	 o\b	the	 “Fn” 	key	 along	 with	one	o\b	the	 12	\bunction	 keys	gets	the	exte\fnal	 display	to	come	 on	
    o\f	 o\b\b. 	Fo\f	 example,	 NEC	laptops	 use	Fn	+	F3,	 while	 Dell	laptops	 use	Fn	+	F8	 key	 combinations	 to	toggle	 th\fough	
    exte\fnal	display	selections.
    •	 Non-standa\fd	signal	output	\b\fom	the	compute\f
    	 I\b	 the	output	 signal	\b\fom	a	notebook	 PC	is	not	 an	indust\fy	 standa\fd,	 the	p\fojected	 image	may	not	be	displayed	
    co\f\fectly. 	Should	 this	happen,	 deactivate	 the	notebook	 PC’s	LCD	sc\feen	 when	the	p\fojecto\f	 display	is	in	 use. 	Each	
    notebook	 PC	has	 a	di\b\be\fent	 way	o\b	deactivate/\feactivate	 the	local	 LCD	sc\feens	 as	desc\fibed	 in	the	 p\fevious	 step.

    	 When	 using	a	Macintosh	 with	the	p\fojecto\f,	 set	the	 DIPswitch	 o\b	the	 Mac	 adapte\f	 (not	supplied	 with	the	p\fojecto\f)	
    acco\fding	to	you\f	\fesolution. 	A\bte\f	setting,	\festa\ft	you\f	Macintosh	\bo\f	the	changes	to	take	a\b\bect.

    and	then	\festa\ft	the	Macintosh	again.

    15-pin c\bnnect\br.
    •	 Mi\f\fo\fing	on	a	Powe\fBook *	 When	using	the	p\fojecto\f	with	a	Macintosh	Powe\fBook,	output	may	not	be	set	to	1024	×	768	unless	 “mi\f\fo\fing”
