    Wind\fws 7 / Vista
    1.	 Click	[Start]	fro\f	the	desktop	of	 Windows	7.
    2.	 Click	[All	Progra\fs].
    3.	 Click	[Accessories].
    4.	 Click	[Connect	to	a	Network	Projector].
      Whe\b the [Wi\bdows Firewall is blo\fki\bg the \betwork proje\ftor from \fommu\bi\fati\bg with your \fomputer] wi\bdow 
    appears, \fli\fk [Allow the \betwork proje\ftor to \fommu\bi\fate with my \fomputer].
      The “Co\b\be\ft to a Network Proje\ftor” wi\bdow appears.
    5.	 Click	[→	Search	for	a	projector	(reco\f\fended)].
     I\b the “Available proje\ftors” box, “X6180N/WX6170N” is displayed.
    6.	 Click	[X6180N/WX6170N].
      The message “E\bter the password for the proje\ftor that you sele\fted.” is displayed at the bottom of the wi\bdow.

    7.	 Input	the	password	to	the	password	input	\box	displayed	\by	the	operation	at	step	3	on	page	48.
    8.	 Click	[Connect].
     The \betwork proje\ftor fu\b\ftio\b works a\bd the s\free\b of Wi\bdows 7 is proje\fted from the proje\ftor.
    • If  the  resolutio\b  of  your  \fomputer’s  s\free\b  is  differe\bt  from  the  proje\ftor’s  s\free\b  resolutio\b,  the  NETWORK 
    PROJECTOR fu\b\ftio\b may \bot work. If this happe\bs, \fha\bge the resolutio\b of the \fomputer’s s\free\b to lower 
    resolutio\b tha\b the o\be\e displayed at Step 3 o\b page 48.
    NOTE: When the netw\brk pr\bject\br functi\bn w\brks, the backgr\bund c\bl\br \bf the deskt\bp changes t\b black. When the netw\brk 
    pr\bject\br functi\bn i\ys st\bpped, the \brigin\yal backgr\bund c\bl\br \yis rest\bred.
    Reference: If the pr\bject\br cann\bt be f\bund at Step 5, click [  → Enter the pr\bject\br netw\brk address]. Then, input the “Netw\brk 
    address” (Input example: http://10.32.97.61/\ylan) and “Pr\bject\br passw\brd” (Input example: 82291627) displayed in the screen

    Exiting the Netw\f\bk P\b\fject\f\b Ope\bati\fn
    1.	 Click	[Projecting: 	X6180N/WX6170N]	in	the	 Windows	Vista	task	\bar.
    2.	 Click	[Disconnect].
      The Network Proje\ftor fu\b\ftio\b is stopped.
    3.	 Press	the	Input	\button	of	the	projector	to	select	an	input	ter\final	other	than	[NETWORK].
      Whe\b usi\bg the remote \fo\btrol, press a butto\b other tha\b the Network butto\b.

     Using the Projector to O\ferate Your Com\futer via a Network 
    [REMOTE DESKTOP]
    •	 By	selecting	 the	PC	connected	 to	the	 same	 netwo\fk	 as	that	 o\b	the	 p\fojecto\f,	 the	PC	sc\feen	 image	can	be	p\fojected	
    to	the	sc\feen	via	netwo\fk.
    	 Then,	 by	ope\fating	 the	keyboa\fd,	 you	can	 ope\fate	 Windows	 7,	Windows	 Vista	o\f	Windows	 XP	on	the	 PC	connected	
    with	the	netwo\fk.
    •	 With	the	Remote	Desktop	\bunction,	you	can	\femotely	ope\fate	the	PC	placed	at	a	distance	\b\fom	the	p\fojecto\f.

    •  A keyb\bard is requir\yed t\b use the Rem\bt\ye Deskt\bp functi\bn.
    •  The Rem\bte Deskt\bp functi\bn can be \bperated with a keyb\bard. Using a wireless m\buse with a wireless keyb\bard is m\bre useful 
    f\br \bperating.
    Use a c\bmmercially a\failable wi\yreless keyb\bard, a \ywireless m\buse, and\y a USB wireless rece\yi\fer.
    Use a c\bmmercially a\failable US\yB keyb\bard and USB \ym\buse.
    •  A USB keyb\bard with \ya built-in USB hub\y cann\bt be used wit\yh the pr\bject\br.
    •  A wireless keyb\bard \y\br m\buse that supp\brt\ys Bluet\b\bth cann\bt b\ye used with the pr\b\yject\br.
    •  We d\b n\bt warrant th\yat the USB p\brt \bf t\yhe pr\bject\br will su\ypp\brt all USB de\fice\ys in the market.
    P\fepa\fe	a	comme\fcially	available	wi\feless	keyboa\fd	(US	layout	ve\fsion).
    Connect	 the	USB	 wi\feless	 \feceive\f	to	the	 USB	 po\ft	(Type	 A)	o\b	the	 p\fojecto\f. 	Make	 all	necessa\fy	 settings	\bo\f	you\f	
    wi\feless	keyboa\fd	and	mouse.

    Setting the passw\f\bd t\f the use\b acc\funt \ff \vWind\fws 7
    TIP: If a passw\brd \yhas been set f\br an\y acc\bunt, the steps\y 1 t\b 9 can be skip\yped.
    1.	 Click	[Start]	fro\f	the	desktop	of	 Windows	7.
    2.	 Click	[Control	Panel].
    3.	 Click	[Add	or	re\fove	user	accounts]	displayed	under	[User	 Accounts	and	Fa\fily	Safety].
    4.	 When	the	[User	 Account	Control]	confir\fation	window	appears, 	click	[Yes].
    5.	 Click	[Ad\finistrator].
    6.	 Click	[Create	a	password].
    7.	 Input	the	password	to	the	[New	password]	\box.
    8.	 Input	the	sa\fe	password	as	that	at	Step	7	to	the	[Confir\f	new	password]	\box.
    9.	 Click	[Create	a	password].
      The Admi\bistrator is \fha\bged to [Password prote\fted].
    Setting the Rem\fte Access
    1.	 Click	[Start]	fro\f	the	desktop	of	 Windows	7.
    2.	 Click	[Control	Panel].
    3.	 Click	[Syste\f	and	Security].
    4.	 Click	[Allow	re\fote	access]	displayed	under	[Syste\f].
    5.	 When	the	[User	 Account	Control]	confir\fation	window	appears, 	click	[Yes].
      The [System Properties] wi\bdow appears.
    6.	 Click	 [Allow	connections	 fro\f	co\fputers	 running	any	version	 of	Re\fote	 Desktop	 (less	secure)]	 in	the	
    Re\fote	Desktop	\box	and	click	[OK].
    Checking the IP add\bess \fn Wind\fws 7
    1.	 Click	[Start]	fro\f	the	desktop	of	 Windows	7.
    2.	 Click	[Control	Panel].
    3.	 Click	[View	network	status	and	tasks]	displayed	under	[Network	and	Internet].

    4.	 Click	[Local	Area	Connection]	displayed	in	\blue	on	the	right	of	[Connections]	in	the	window.
      The [Lo\fal Area Co\b\be\ftio\b Status] wi\bdow appears.
    5.	 Click	[Details...].
     Write dow\b the value for “IPv4 Address” (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)\e displayed.
    6.	 Click	[Close].
    7.	 Click	[X]	at	the	upper	right	of	the	window.
     The system goes ba\fk to the desktop.
    Sta\bting the Rem\fte Deskt\fp
    1.	 With	the	projector	turned	on, 	press	the	Input	\button.
      The i\bput sele\ftio\b wi\b\edow appears.
      A\bother way to display the i\bput sele\ftio\b wi\bdow is to press the Network butto\b o\b the remote \fo\btrol. The NET -
    WORK s\free\b will be displayed. Go to step 3.

    2.	 Press	the		or		\button	to	select	[NETWORK]	and	press	the	Enter	\button.
     The [NETWORK] me\bu will be dis\eplayed.
    3.	 Fro\f	the	[NETWORK]	\fenu, 	use	the	wireless	key\board	to	select	[REMOTE	DESKTOP	CONNECTION].
      The [REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION] wi\bdow appears.
    4.	 Operate	the	wireless	key\board	to	input	the	IP	address	of	 Windows	7	and	click	“CONNECTION”.
      The log-o\b s\free\b of Wi\bdows 7 is displayed i\b the s\free\b proje\fted by the proje\ftor.
    5.	 Operate	the	wireless	key\board	to	input	the	user’s	password	and	press	 “Enter”.
      The remote desktop fu\b\ftio\b is started.
      Wi\bdows 7 desktop is displayed i\b the s\free\b proje\fted by the proje\ftor.
      Log out the \fomputer.
      Use the wireless keyboard \fo\b\be\fted to the proje\ftor to operate Wi\bdows 7.
    NOTE: When the pr\bjecti\bn is made with the rem\bte deskt\bp functi\bn, the backgr\bund c\bl\br \bf the deskt\bp is changed t\b black.

    Exiting the Rem\fte Deskt\fp
    1.	 Operate	the	wireless	key\board	to	click	[Start]	fro\f	the	desktop	screen	projected	\by	the	projector.
    2.	 Click	[X]	on	the	right	of	the	start	\fenu.
      The remote desktop fu\b\ftio\b is stopped.
    3.	 Press	the	Input	\button	of	the	projector	to	select	an	input	ter\final	other	than	[NETWORK].
      Whe\b usi\bg the remote \fo\btrol, press a butto\b other tha\b the Network butto\b.
    TIP:
    Setting [ADVANCED] in REMOTE DE\ySKTOP
    Clicking [ADVANCED] displays the \y[ADVANCED] screen.
    Making settings t\b [ADVANCED] will all\bw y\bu t\b display the deskt\bp backgr\bund, \br t\b enable the wind\bw animati\bn functi\bn during 
    the Rem\bte Deskt\bp \b\yperati\bn. H\bwe\fer, d\bing this will c\yause the display’s \br m\buse’s resp\bnse t\b sl\bw d\y\bwn. 
    If the display’s \br m\buse’s resp\bnse is sl\bwed\y d\bwn, try \bne \br m\bre \bf the \yf\bll\bwing:
    DESKTOP	BACKGROUND: 	Clea\f	the	check	ma\fk	to	display	the	desktop	backg\found	in	monoch\fome.
    MENU	 AND	WINDOW	 ANIMATION: 	Clea\f	the	check	ma\fk	to	disable	menu	and	window	animation.
    THEMES: 	Clea\f	the	check	ma\fk	not	to	use	 Themes.
    SHOW	 CONTENTS	 OF	WINDOW	 WHILE	DRAGGING: 	Clea\f	 the	check	 ma\fk	to	show	 only	the	window	 pane	while

    4. Using the Viewer\u
    1 What you can do wit\uh the Viewer
    The	Viewe\f	 \beatu\fe	 allows	you	to	view	 slides	 o\f	movie	 files	sto\fed	 on	a	USB	 memo\fy	 on	the	 p\fojecto\f,	 o\f	a	sha\fed	
    \bolde\f	in	a	compute\f	connected	to	the	netwo\fk.
    The	 Viewe\f	has	the	\bollowing	\beatu\fes.
    •	 When	 a	comme\fcially	 available	USB	memo\fy	 that	sto\fes	 image	 files	is	inse\fted	 into	the	USB	 po\ft	(Type	 A)	o\b	the	
    p\fojecto\f,	the	 Viewe\f	allows	you	to	view	the	image	files	on	the	USB	memo\fy.
    	 Even	i\b	no	compute\f	is	available,	p\fesentations	can	be	conducted	simply	with	the	p\fojecto\f. 	
    •	 Movie	file	with	audio	can	be	played	back.
    •	 Image	and	movie	files	sto\fed	in	a	sha\fed	\bolde\f	in	a	compute\f	connected	to	a	netwo\fk	can	be	p\fojected.
    	 The	compute\f	with	 “Media	Sha\fing”	o\b	Windows	Media	Playe\f	11	tu\fned	on	can	be	used	as	a	media	se\fve\f.

    4. Using the Viewer\u
    NOTE:
    • M\b\fie files c\bn\ferted\y by using the \fide\b/\yaudi\b f\brmat which \yis n\bt supp\brted by t\yhis pr\bject\br cann\bt\y be played back.
      In this case, ther\ye will be n\b ic\bn t\y\b sh\bw that playback\y is n\bt p\bssible.
    •  Files with Digital \yRights Management(D\yRM) pr\btecti\bn cann\b\yt be played back.
    •  S\bme \bf the m\b\fie fil\yes that meet the a\yb\b\fe requirements m\yay n\bt be played bac\yk.
    •  WMV f\brmat \fide\b file\y will be displayed \yin an aspect rati\b \y\bf 1 t\b 1 independen\ytly \bf its \briginal \yaspect rati\b.
    •  Files  that  can  be  played  back  \bn  the  media  ser\fer  are  graphics  and  m\b\fie  files.  In  Wind\bws  Media  Player  11  (Wind\bws  XP/
    Wind\bws Vista) mp4 \yfiles cann\bt be playe\yd back.
    Supp\f\bted USB mem\f\by devices
    -	 Be	su\fe	to	use	a	USB	memo\fy	device	\bo\fmatted	with	the	FAT,	exFAT,	FAT32	o\f	FAT16	file	system.
    	 The	p\fojecto\f	does	not	suppo\ft	NTFS	\bo\fmatted	USB	memo\fy.
    	 I\b	the	p\fojecto\f	does	not	\fecognize	you\f	USB	memo\fy,	check	i\b	the	\bo\fmat	is	suppo\fted.
    	 To	 \bo\fmat	 you\f	USB	 memo\fy	 in	you\f	 compute\f,	 \fe\be\f	to	the	 document	 o\f	help	 file	that	 comes	 with	you\f	 Windows.
    -	 We	do	not	wa\f\fant	that	the	USB	po\ft	o\b	the	p\fojecto\f	will	suppo\ft	all	USB	memo\fies	in	the	ma\fket.
    -	 Wait	at	least	5	seconds	a\bte\f	disconnecting	a	USB	memo\fy	device	be\bo\fe	\feconnecting	it	and	vice	ve\fsa. 	
    	 The	 p\fojecto\f	 may	not	identi\by	 the	USB	 memo\fy	 device	i\b	it	is	 \fepeatedly	 connected	and	disconnected	 in	\fapid
