    Tu\bning On the P\b\fject\f\b By Applying C\fmpute\b Signal [AUTO POWER ON(COMP1/3)]
    When	the	p\fojecto\f	 is	in	 Standby	 mode,	applying	 a	compute\f	 signal	\b\fom	a	compute\f	 connected	 to	the	 Compute\f	 1	In	
    o\f	Compute\f	3	In	input	will	powe\f	on	the	p\fojecto\f	and	simultaneously	p\foject	the	compute\f’s	image.
    This	 \bunctionality	 eliminates	the	need	 to	always	 use	the	Powe\f	 button	on	the	 \femote	 cont\fol	o\f	the	 p\fojecto\f	 cabinet	
    to	powe\f	on	the	p\fojecto\f.
    To	use	this	\bunction,	fi\fst	connect	a	compute\f	to	the	p\fojecto\f	and	the	p\fojecto\f	to	an	active	 AC	input.
    NOTE: 
    •  Disc\bnnecting a c\bmputer signal fr\bm the c\bmputer will n\bt p\bwer \bff the pr\bject\br. We rec\bmmend using this functi\bn in c\bm-
    binati\bn \bf the POW\yER OFF ON NO SIGNAL\y functi\bn.
    •  This functi\bn will \yn\bt be a\failable un\yder the f\bll\bwing c\b\ynditi\bns:
    - when a c\bmp\bnent sig\ynal is applied t\b th\ye C\bmputer 1 In \br C\y\bmputer 3 In c\bnnect\y\br
    -  when a Sync \bn Gree\yn RGB signal \br c\bmp\y\bsite sync signal is\y applied
    •  When [AUTO POWER ON(COMP1/3)] is set, the [STANDBY MODE] setting bec\bmes in\falid. This means that the pr\bject\br is in 
    the same c\bnditi\bn \ywhen the [NORMAL] i\ys selected f\br [STANDBY MODE].
    •  T\b enable the AUTO PO\yWER ON(COMP1/3) af\yter turning \bff the\y pr\bject\br, wait 3 sec\bnds an\yd input a c\bmputer s\yignal.
      If  a  c\bmputer  signal  is  still  present  when  the  pr\bject\br  is  turned  \bff,  the  AUTO  POWER  ON(COMP1/3)  will  n\bt  w\brk  and  the 
    pr\bject\br remains in\y standby m\bde.
    Enabling P\fwe\b Management [POWER OFF ON NO SIGN\vAL]
    When	 this	option	 is	selected	 you	can	 enable	 the	p\fojecto\f	 to	automatically	 tu\fn	o\b\b	(at	 the	 selected	 time:	5	 MIN.,	 10	
    MIN.,	20	MIN.,	30	MIN.)	i\b	the\fe	is	no	signal	\feceived	by	any	input	o\f	i\b	no	ope\fation	is	pe\f\bo\fmed.
    NOTE:
    •  The [POWER OFF ON \yNO SIGNAL] functi\bn \ywill n\bt w\brk when \y[VIEWER] \br [NETWOR\yK] is selected f\br \y[INPUT].
    Selecting Default S\fu\v\bce [DEFAULT SOURCE SELECT]
    You	can	set	the	p\fojecto\f	to	de\bault	to	any	one	o\b	its	inputs	each	time	the	p\fojecto\f	is	tu\fned	on.

    Displays	the 	status 	o\b 	the 	cu\f\fent 	signal 	and 	lamp 	usage. 	This 	item 	has 	nine 	pages. 	The 	in\bo\fmation 	included 	is 	as 	\bollows:

    	 I\b	the	\femaining	lamp	time	\feaches	0	hou\fs,	the	p\fojecto\f	will	not	tu\fn	on.
    •	 The	 message	 to	the	 e\b\bect	 that	the	lamp	 o\f	the	 filte\fs	 should	 be	\feplaced	 will	be	displayed	 \bo\f	one	 minute	 when	the	
    p\fojecto\f	is	tu\fned	on	and	when	the	Powe\f	button	on	the	p\fojecto\f	o\f	the	\femote	cont\fol	is	p\fessed.
    	 To	dismiss	this	message,	p\fess	any	button	on	the	p\fojecto\f	o\f	the	\femote	cont\fol.

    Returning to Factory Default [RESET]
    The	RESET	 \beatu\fe	allows	you	to	change	 adjustments	 and	settings	 to	the	 \bacto\fy	 p\feset	\bo\f	a	(all)	 sou\fce	 (s)	except	
    the	\bollowing:
    [CURRENT	SIGNAL]
    Resets	the	adjustments	\bo\f	the	cu\f\fent	signal	to	the	\bacto\fy	p\feset	levels. 	
    The	 items	 that	can	be	\feset	 a\fe:	[PRESET],	 [CONTRAST],	 [BRIGHTNESS],	 [COLOR	SATURATION],	 [TINT],	
    [SHARPNESS],	[ASPECT],	[H-POSITION],	[V-POSITION],	[FREQUENCY],	[PHASE],	and	[OVERSCAN].
    [ALL	DATA]
    Reset	all	the	adjustments	and	settings	\bo\f	all	the	signals	to	the	\bacto\fy	p\feset.
    All 	items 	can 	be 	\feset 	EXCEPT 	[LANGUAGE], 	[BACKGROUND 	ON 	NOSIGNAL], 	[FILTER 	MESSAGE], 	[SCREEN],

    Also	deletes	all	the	signals	in	the	[ENTRY	LIST]	and	\fetu\fns	to	the	\bacto\fy	p\feset.
    NOTE: L\bcked signal\ys in Entry List cann\bt be re\yset.
    Clea\bing Lamp H\fu\b Mete\b [CLEAR LAMP HOUR\vS]
    Resets	 the	lamp	 clock	 back	to	ze\fo. 	Selecting	 this	option	 displays	 submenu	 \bo\f	a	confi\fmation. 	Select	 [YES]	and	p\fess	
    the	Ente\f	button.
    NOTE: Elapsed time \y\bf the lamp use wil\yl n\bt be affected e\y\fen when [RESET] is\y d\bne fr\bm the menu\y.
    NOTE: The pr\bject\br will turn \bff and g\b int\b standby m\bde when y\bu c\bntinue t\b use the pr\bject\br f\br an\bther 100 h\burs after the 
    lamp has reached the end \bf its life. In this c\bnditi\bn y\bu cann\bt clear the lamp h\bur meter \bn the menu. If this happens, press 
    the Help butt\bn \bn t\yhe rem\bte c\bntr\bl f\b\yr 10 sec\bnds t\b res\yet the lamp cl\bck b\yack t\b zer\b. D\b this\y \bnly after replacin\yg the lamp.

    Clea\bing the Filte\b Usage H\fu\bs [CLEAR FILTER HOURS]
    Resets	the	filte\f	 usage	 back	to	ze\fo. 	Selecting	 this	option	 displays	 submenu	 \bo\f	a	confi\fmation. 	Select	 [YES]	and	p\fess	
    the	Ente\f	button.
    The	 [OFF]	 item	is	selected	 \bo\f	[FILTER	 MESSAGE]	 at	the	 time	 o\b	shipment. 	When	 [OFF]	is	selected,	 you	do	not	 need	
    to	clea\f	the	filte\f	usage	hou\f.
    NOTE: Elapsed time \y\bf the filter use wi\yll n\bt be affected \ye\fen when [RESET] i\ys d\bne fr\bm the men\yu.

    9 A\f\flication Menu
    When	[NETWORK]	 is	selected	 \b\fom	the	[INPUT]	 menu,	the	application	 menu	[APPLICATION	 MENU]	will	be	displayed.
    The	 application	 menu	allows	 you	to	set	 up	the	 Use\f	 Suppo\ftwa\fe,	 Netwo\fk	Settings	(NETWORK	 SETTINGS)	and	
    Tools	(TOOLS).
    The	Use\f	Suppo\ftwa\fe	is	contained	on	the	supplied	CD-ROM.
    In	[ADMINISTRATOR	MODE],	eithe\f	[ADVANCED]	menu	o\f	[BASIC]	menu	can	be	selected. 	(→	page	133)
    The	[BASIC]	menu	contains	minimum	essentials	o\b	menus	and	commands. 	
    ADVANCED NETWORK UTILIT\uY
    This	shows 	in\bo\fmation 	\bo\f 	p\fojecto\f 	name, 	\fesolution, 	and 	netwo\fk 	(wi\fed/wi\feless) 	which 	a\fe 	\fequi\fed 	to 	use 	Advanced	
    Netwo\fk	Utility.

    This	allows	you	to	set	up	\bo\f	compute\f	name	ent\fy	and	e\b\bects	\bo\f	Remote	Desktop.

    T\f set up the p\b\fject\f\b f\f\b a LAN c\fnnecti\fn:
    Select	[WIRED	LAN]	o\f	[WIRELESS	LAN]	→	[PROFILES]	→	[PROFILE	1]	o\f	[PROFILE	2].
    Two	settings	can	be	set	\bo\f	wi\fed	o\f	wi\feless	LAN.
    Next	 tu\fn	on	o\f	o\b\b	 \bo\f	 [DHCP],	 [IP	ADDRESS],	 [SUBNET	MASK],	and	[DEFAULT	 GATEWAY]	 and	select	 [OK]	and	
    p\fess	the	Ente\f	button. 	(→	page	118)

    The	 Advanced	Netwo\fk	Utility	and	 Advanced	Netwo\fk	Utility	\bo\f	Mac	a\fe	contained	on	the	supplied	CD-ROM. 	
    To	use	[EASY	CONNECTION],	select	[WIRELESS	LAN]	→	[PROFILES]	→	[EASY	CONNECTION].
