    You can set up your \yTV so that it can \yaccess the Internet through your local area network (LAN) u\ysing a wired or wireless 
    connection\b
    	
    ¦ Connecting	to	a	Wi\bed	Netwo\bk
    You can attach your \yTV to your LAN usin\yg cable in three ways:
     
    y You can attach your \yTV to your LAN by c\yonnecting the LAN \yport on the back o\y\f your TV to an ext\yernal modem using a C\yat 
    5 cable\b See the dia\ygram below\b
     
    y You can attach your \yTV to your LAN by c\yonnecting the LAN \yport on the back o\y\f your TV to a IP Sh\yarer which is connec\yted 
    to an external modem\b Use Cat \y5 cable \for the con\ynection\b See the dia\ygram below\b
     
    y Depending on how yo\yur network is confi\ygured, you may be able \yto attach your TV t\yo your LAN by conne\ycting the LAN 
    port on the back o\y\f your TV directly to a network \ywall outlet using \ya Cat 5 cable\b See \ythe diagram below\b Note that the wal\yl

    Some networks require a Static IP address\b I\f your network\y requires a Static IP address, you must enter\y the IP address, 
    subnet mask, gatew\yay, and DNS values m\yanually on your TV’\ys Cable Setup Screen when you set up\y the network 
    connection\b To get the IP address, subnet mask, \ygateway, and DNS val\yues, contact your I\ynternet Service Provider (ISP)\b I\f 
    you have a Windows computer, you can also get \ythese values through your computer\b 
     
    ✎You can use ADSL modems that support DHCP i\f your network requires a Static IP address\b ADSL modems that

    Use the Automatic \yNetwo\bk	Setup when connecting yo\yur 
    TV to a network th\yat supports DHCP\b To set up your TV’s 
    cable network conn\yection automatical\yly, \follow these st\yeps:
    How	to	set	up	automatically
    1.	Connect your TV to \yyour LAN as describ\yed in the 
    previous section\b
    2.	 Turn on your TV, press the MENU button on your 
    remote, use the ▲ or ▼ button to select \ySetup, and 
    then press the ENTER
    E button\b
    3.	 Use the ▲ or ▼ button to select \yNetwork in the Setup 
    menu, and then press the ENTER
    E button\b The

    4.	 On the Netwo\bk screen, select Netwo\bk	Type\b
    5.	 Set Netwo\bk	Type to Wi\bed\b

    a network that requires a Static IP address\b 
    Getting	the	Netwo\bk	Connection	Values
    To get the Network \yconnection values \yon most Windows 
    computers, \follow t\yhese steps:
    1.	 Right click the Ne\ytwork icon on the \ybottom right o\f the\y 
    screen\b
    2.	 In the pop-up menu\y that appears, cli\yck Status\b
    3.	 On the dialog that \yappears, click the\y Support tab\b
    4.	 On the Support Tab, click the Deta\yils button\b The 
    Network connection\y values are displayed\b
    How	to	set	up	manually
    To set up your TV’s cable network co\ynnection manually, \y
    \follow these steps:\y 
    1.	 Follow Steps 1 through 6 in the “How\y to set up 
    automatically” procedure\b
    2.	 Set Inte\bnet	P\botocol	Setup to Manual\b
    3.	 Press the ▼ button on your remote to go to the\y first 
    entry field\b
    4.	 Enter the IP	Add\bess, Subnet	Mask, Gateway, and 
    DNS	Se\bve\b values\b Use the nu\ymber buttons on you\yr 
    remote to enter num\ybers and the arrow buttons to move\y 
    \from one entry field t\yo another\b
    5.	 When done, press the RETURN button on your remote\b
    6.	 Select Netwo\bk	Test to check the Inte\yrnet connectivity\b

    To connect your TV t\yo your network wirelessly, you need a \ywireless router or modem and \ya Samsung Wireless LAN Adapter 
    (WIS09ABGN), which \yyou connect to your\y TV’s back or side pane\yl USB jack\b See the \yillustration below\y\b
    Samsung’s Wireless LAN adapter i\ys sold separately a\ynd is o\f\fered by select retailers, Ecommerce sites and Samsun\ygparts\b
    com\b Samsung’s Wireless LAN adapter s\yupports the IEEE 802\b\y11A/B/G and N commu\ynication protocols\b Samsung 
    recommends using IEEE \y802\b11N\b When you pl\yay the video over a\y IEEE 802\b11B/G conne\yction, the video ma\yy not play 
    smoothly\b

    How	to	set	up	using	Samsung	Auto	Configu\bation
    1.	 Place the AP and TV\y next to each othe\yr and turn them 
    on\b
     
    ✎Because the booting times o\f applications di\f\fer, 
    you may have to wait \for approximately 2 minutes\b
     
    ✎I\f the L AN cable connected the WAN port o\f AP 
    during Samsung Auto Con\figuration, you are able 
    to complete until internet connection test\b I\f you

    2.	 A\fter 2 minutes, co\ynnect the Samsung W\yireless LAN

    3.	 As soon as a conne\yction is establish\yed, place the AP in\y

    Key\b The Security Ke\yy is based on a Pas\ys Phrase, typically\y 
    a word or a series o\f le\ytters and numbers o\y\f a specified 
    length you were asked to enter wh\yen you set up secur\yity \for 
    your wireless network\b  I\f \yyou use this method\y o\f setting up 
    the network connec\ytion, and have a Se\ycurity Key \for your \y
    wireless network, you \ywill have to enter\y the Pass Phrase

    How	to	set	up	automatically
    To set up the wireless connection a\yutomatically, \follo\yw these 
    steps:
    1.	Follow Steps 1 through 6 in the “How\y to set up using

    2.	 Press the ▼ button to select \yInte\bnet	P\botocol	Setup, 
    and then press the ENTER
