You can set 2‑sided printing from the software program. For Windows users, click File > Print, and then click Properties, Preferences, Options, or Setup. For Macintosh users, choose File > Print, and then adjust the settings from the print dialog and pop‑up menus. Duplex Binding Long Edge Short EdgeDefines the way duplexed pages are bound and how the printing on the back of the page is oriented in relation to the printing on the front of the page Notes: Long Edge is the factory default setting. Long edge assumes binding along the long edge of the page (left edge for portrait and top edge for landscape). Between Copies inserts a blank sheet between each copy of a print job if Collate is set to On. If Collate is set to Off, a blank page is inserted between each set of printed pages, such as after all page 1s and after all page 2s. Between Jobs inserts a blank sheet between print jobs. Between Pages inserts a blank sheet between each page of a print job. This setting is useful when printing transparencies or when inserting blank pages in a document. Bookmarks, print jobs on flash drives, and other types of held jobs are not affected. Not Restored removes all Print and Hold jobs that are not restored from the printer hard disk or memory. Format Flash Yes NoFormats the flash memory Warning—Potential Damage: Do not turn off the printer while the flash memory is being formatted. Notes: Yes deletes all data stored in flash memory. No cancels the format request. Flash memory refers to the memory added by installing a flash memory option card in the printer. A flash memory option card must be installed in the printer and operating properly for this menu item to be available. The flash memory option card must not be read/write‑ or write‑protected.
