    Troubleshooting
    Thissectionprovidesbasicservertroubleshootinginformation.Itisdesignedtohelpyoudiagnose
    commonissuesthatcanoccurduringserverinstallation.
    TroubleshootingMethodology
    Theserverwastestedpriortoshipping.Failuresencounteredduringinstallationcanbedueto
    damagethatoccurredintransit.Reseatingconnectorscanclearproblemsthatresultfromrough
    handling.Ifyouareinstallingcomponentsorassemblies,compatibilityproblemsorincorrect
    installationscanbethecauseoftheproblems.Ifyouareinstallingcomponentsorassemblies,
    checkthatitemsarecorrectlyinstalledandthatallconnectorsarefullyengaged.Iftheunitdoes
    notpoweron,checkthepowersourcebeforeproceeding.
    Ifaproblemisencounteredduringinitialoperation,removeanyadd-inoroptionalcomponents
    andretesttheserverbeforecontinuing.Verifybasicserveroperationbeforeinstallingadditional
    cardsandconfiguringsoftwareandhardwarefortheserverrequirements.
    Troubleshootingisbasedonobservationofserverstatusindicationsanderrormessages,andby
    checkingtheSEL.YoucanobservetheLEDindicatorsonthefrontandrearoftheserver.Error
    messagesaredisplayedonlocalandremoteconsoles.Systemhistory(console,event,andhistory
