Network Status Monitor 181 Document Management System Section The Status Monitor is a Multi Functional Product (MFP) utility that monitors and disp lays the curren t sta tus of connected devices. Upon activation, the icon of the Status Monitor (up to 10 different printers) appear on the System Tray next to the system clock. The Statu s Monitor indica tes the device status by the ico n lamp color as listed below. Task Display LampStatus Green Device is operational in standby, printing, scanning, or copying mode. Yellow Device attention is required, check paper supply, etc. Red Toner needs replacement, cover is open, paper jam, or device failure. Gray Device is in Energy Saver (sleep) Mode.
Network Status Monitor 182 Right-clicking the Status Monitor icon in the System Tray displays the following pop-up menu. 1.Open Status Monitor Displays details about the current status of the device. 2.Start the Configuration Editor Activates the Configuration Editor. (See page 190) 3.Start the Address Book Editor Activates the Address Book Editor. (See page 190) 4.Auto Start Sets the Status Monitor for the device to start automatically when the PC is rebooted. 5.Job Completion Notice Sets the Job Completion Notification mode. (See page 188) 6.Messa ge Dis play Displays the contents (file name, etc.) of the Job Completion Notice when it is set to Icon (No Notice). 7.Pops-up When Error Oc curs Selects whether a pop-up error message box appears when an error occurs on the connected device. 8.About Displays the version information about the Status Monitor. 9.Exit Closes the Status Monitor. Job Completion Notice Pop up Display: Notify with the Pop-up message. Icon (Notice): Notify with the Icon appearance on the desktop and change the Status Monitor icon . Icon (No Notice): Notify with the Status Monitor icon. None: Do not notify.

190 Network Configuration Editor/Address Book Editor These u tilities a llo w you to edit the device’s Config uratio n or Address Book through a TCP/IP LAN network using the FTP p rotocol. The desire d d evice is first selected from the device list o f th e Network Device Locator and then the Network Configuration Editor or Network Address Book Editor can be started. Note: 1. Both utilities are installed when the Administrator mode is selected during the Panasonic-DMS installation (see page 89). 2. Th e following messa ge is shown when retrieving the data from a device if th e software modu les have not been installed to your PC. Click the button to download the modules from the Web site.
