106 Setting Your Machine User Parameters (For Facsimile) QGeneral Description Your machine has several basic settings (User Parameters) to help you keep records of the documents you send or receive. For example, the built-in clock keeps the current Date and Time, your LOGO and ID Number to help identify you when you send or receive documents. These parameters can be programmed via your PC by using the Configuration Editor included in the Panasonic Document Management System CD with the machine. Follow the Operating Instructions included in the Panasonic Document Management System CD. QSetting the User Parameters NOTE1. Special characters, such as Å, Ä, Ö, Ü, Æ, è and é cannot be used for Character ID. 2. To correct a mistake, use or to move the cursor to the right side of the incorrect number or character, press then re-enter the correct number or character. If you wish to clear all numbers or characters, press when the cursor is positioned at the beginning of the number or character field. 3. The current Date & Time must be set because it is required by the Telephone Consumer Act of 1991. (For details, see FCC NOTICE at the beginning of these Operating Instructions.) (See page 17) 4. 108 Setting Your Machine Fax Parameters QGeneral Description Your machine has a variety of adjustable Fax Parameters. These parameters, listed in the Parameter Table, are preset for you and do not need to be changed. If you want to make a change, read the table carefully. Some parameters, such as the Resolution and Contrast parameters, can be temporarily changed by simple key operation just before a trans - mission is made. When the transmission ends, however, these parameters return to their preset values (Home posi- tion). Other parameters can only be changed by the procedure described below.
