94 Selective Reception Your machine has a special feature, Selective Reception, which can prevent the receiving of unnecessary documents (i.e. junk fax, direct mail, etc.). Before receiving the document, the last 4 digits of the ID Number received from the sending machine will be compared with the last 4 digits of the telephone number programmed in each Address Book station. When a match is found, your machine will start receiving the document. If a match is not found, your machine will cancel the reception and an Information Code 406 will be recorded on the Journal. 96 Department Code This operation requires the user to input a preset Department Code (8-digit maximum) before transmission. The Department Name of the selected Department Code is printed on the Header of each page sent, COMM. Journal and Individual Transmission Journal. When the Department Code is set, the Transaction Journal will be sorted by the Department Code number (001 - 300) when it is printed. For details on how to setup the Department Codes, refer to Operator Instructions (for Copier). If you wish to use the Department Code function, please ask your authorized Panasonic dealer to activate this feature.
