    FaxTalk Communicator This software allows the fax functions 
    of the computer to be used for faxing 
    image data scanned using the Scan to 
    PC operation.

    nicator.
    Local Setup Utility (LSU) This software enables one-touch dial-
    ing, speed dialing, and group dialing 
    for faxes to be created and edited 
    from the computer. In addition, the 
    status of this machine can be 
    checked.

    PaperPort SE This software is a document manage-
    ment software package that helps you 
    scan, organize, access, share, and 
    manage both your paper and digital 
    documents on your personal com-
    puter.

    LinkMagic This software enables scanned docu-
    ment to be saved in a file, processed, 
    mail attached, and printed out.

    The tray settings and duplex (Double-Sided) 
    printing settings cannot be specified if the 
    optional media feed unit and duplex are not 
    installed.

    „Displays a rough estimate of the amount of toner 
    remaining.
    „Displays the total number of pages that have 
    been copied, printed and scanned.
    „Displays the results for fax transmissions and 
    receptions.

    related to fax.

    5Quality key Press to specify the document type to be copied and 
    the resolution.

    „Displays an error message when an error occurs.

    7 Keypad Enters desired number of copies. Enters fax num-
    bers, E-mail addresses, and names of recipients.
    8Fax key Press to enter Fax mode. The key lights up in green 
    while the machine is in Scan mode. For details, refer 
    to the magicolor 2590MF Facsimile Users Guide.
    9Scan key Press to enter scan mode. (Scan to E-mail or Scan 
    to PC) The key lights up in green while the machine 
    is in Scan mode. For details on the Scanner func-
    tions, refer to chapter 7, “Using the Scanner”
    10Copy key Press to enter Copy mode. The key lights up in 
    green while the machine is in Copy mode. For 
    details on the Copy functions, refer to chapter 6, 
    “Using the Copier”.

    either with the Quality key or from the configuration 
    menu.
    2 Zoom ratio Indicates the zoom ratio.
